Anthony Stewart Head is NOT dead (Mandela Effect)?

DH and I would have sworn blind that A.S.H (Giles from Buffy) died 5-or-so years ago... We were 100% sure.

Turns out. Totally alive.

The thing is, we both remember details of articles and online threads about how sad his death was...

Did anyone else think the same?

I'm very confused about why people think he is dead. As a Buffy fan girl, I follow him on Twitter and he replied to me a couple or years ago.

I even google his name but no dead news stories came up. I remember in the past he said he had to use a different acting name because an actor of the same name already existed. Could it have been him?

I used to get him confused years ago with Judge Reinhold Blush and I just googled Judge to find out he is “only” 64! I would’ve put him much

Oh how odd, I don't remember seeing anything about him dying. I bumped into him on a walk a few months back so he was alive then!

His character died about six times in Bleak Expectations (and was resurrected as a pigeon). Maybe you were listening to that as late night comfort listening like I do and got confused? Are you also wondering why nobody talks about that time we were invaded by an army of robot swans?

But this thread has told me that he's in Bridgerton S2, which is excellent news, because I haven't got that far yet.

His 'death' was before Whedon was outed as a complete and utter shitbag. I was SO disappointed in Whedon - I'd historically re-watched Buffy end-to-end every couple of years. I'm not sure I can face it again.

I, personally, didn't think Mandela had died before his actual death - but it seems that loads of people did... which always seemed so odd to me (I understand it's supposed to be 'proof' of living in a multiverse) but surely the bit where he was President of South Africa would have seemed mightily weird.

Me and my sister were both surprised when meatloaf died because for some reason we both thought he already had. Same as you, we were sure we had saw it on the news and everything.
You saw the news about Jim Steinman, the man who wrote all the best Meatloaf songs.

He was the craziest, most magical, over the top music man ... 🙂

OP I had exactly the same thing with Pete Docherty, I could even remember a wall of NMEs with his face on it in HMV saying he'd died.

Was shocked when I saw him on TV at Glastonbury a few years alive and well (at least as well as Pete Docherty gets).

I love reading about the Mandela effect, especially this kid's film Shazam that hundreds of Americans remembered but never existed.

Are you possibly getting confused with the death of Robin Sachs who played Gile's nemesis, Ethan Rayne, in Buffy? He died at 61 in 2013.

Oh goodness I cannot believe I found this post! My sister and I have been going crazy about this all night. I am currently rewatching Buffy and decided to look everyone up when I landed on Anthony Head’s page because I couldn’t remember when he died...to only find out he never had. I immediately called my sister because I DISTINCTLY remember having a convo with her a few years ago about his death and being sad because we were both Buffy fans and she swears as well that he had died and remembered confirming it online. Neither of us can pin down when exactly it happened but we think it was a few years ago. But yes suuuuper weird to see this and maybe us few got a Mandela Effect moment together!
