Or is your day as dull as dishwater?

I do, some of the time! I have a stressful job and often deal with distressing things however the atmosphere in the office is generally light hearted and we can have a good laugh. Do you have fun at work?

Cherrysherbet · 16/03/2022 20:04

Yes I do have fun. I love my job and the people are great.

AwayInMyMind · 16/03/2022 20:09

Yes, absolutely. I work with teenagers.

Bdhntbis · 16/03/2022 20:10

My job is really interesting but not fun really

irregularegular · 16/03/2022 20:11

A lot of the time I do, yes. I work in a University and enjoy the company of the students and staff.

witch000 · 16/03/2022 20:12

No, We are not even allowed to talk.

snortingwhenIlaugh · 16/03/2022 20:13

I very recently had an open conversation with my team about this topic. We all get along very well, we know each other well, value each other a lot and are very focused on our work, however all agreed that the 'fun' comes in our own personal time rather than during working hours i.e in the pub after work, or at social events in our own time

SQLserved · 16/03/2022 20:15

Yes, I’m office based but love my job and my team.
The fun comes from 30% love my job, 30% love my team, and 40% love that I work from home so can go out to hobbies in the evenings and feel like I have a life.

When I was office based I’d feel exhausted in the evening and not get the work-life balance right. That was miserable and I hated my job for getting in the way of living.

Seasidemumma77 · 16/03/2022 20:15

My colleagues are so much fun, we spend most of the shift laughing.

Oblomov22 · 16/03/2022 20:15

Yes. I love both part time jobs. Nice atmosphere and we have a laugh and a giggle.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 16/03/2022 20:15

Yes, we always have a laugh whether it's with colleagues or customers.
I'm very lucky, have been there more than 10 years and work with some great people.

SQLserved · 16/03/2022 20:16

@witch000

No, We are not even allowed to talk.
Shock

I am so sorry! I know nothing about what you do but I am imagining a Victorian work house!

@witch000

No, We are not even allowed to talk.
Was going to ask, what on earth do you do for a job?
babybythesea · 16/03/2022 20:19

Yes. I am a TA with Y1 andY2. They never fail to make me laugh. It’s a lot of fun. Especially when they write something, ahem, interesting without meaning to. (Todays gem: the cock was wobbly. It was supposed to be the rock was wobbly. As I said to the teacher - it’s really unfortunate - no one wants a wobbly cock.)

Ghostmooncup · 16/03/2022 20:20

I work in a stressful and often highly emotive place. I couldn't do the job without the team being fun and able to make each other laugh to carry us through.

evilednaandherheftyaccomplice · 16/03/2022 20:23

No the fun element is seriously lacking!

IGotAVaxAndILikedIt · 16/03/2022 20:23

Yes, I work with some extremely clever people and we are also all quite "odd" by usual standards - so it is nice to hang out with the other weirdos. 😁

WallaceinAnderland · 16/03/2022 20:25

Yes. Laugh til we cry sometimes.

KittenKong · 16/03/2022 20:26

I work at home… so not really. I’m my old job we had an office dog and that was loads of fun!

DogsAndGin · 16/03/2022 20:27

Junior school teacher - it’s great fun!

Leol · 16/03/2022 20:27

Yes, I really like the people I work with.

MyBottleOfRibena · 16/03/2022 20:29

Yes, everyday. I love my team

RagzRebooted · 16/03/2022 20:30

Yes I do. Sometimes it's stressful and people are wound up, but there's usually plenty of laughter too (NHS). My team are lovely.

Titsywoo · 16/03/2022 20:32

Yes I do but I run my own business and work with DH and a friend so we have lots of laughs.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 16/03/2022 20:46

I used to pre-Covid. Less so now. I used to get to go to loads of events and dinners and lunches, which as an extrovert I thrived on.

Still love my team, but we're so much more desk bound these days, so it's not as much fun.
