Help decipher writing old baptism certificate

If any super sleuths can help I’d be very grateful.

This baptism certificate is from an old, old biscuit tin that used to live in my Great-Granny’s house.

We don’t know much about her (Great Granny’s) family history/ ancestry and are trying to piece together some information from this tin of old photos and papers.

Can anyone read the name of the child being baptised??

@SophiesMummySaid

Ahh can you share the photo *@Rosylarose*?
I think someone's posted them now. They are from a member family tree on Ancestry - the Thacker family, if that means anything to you.

@CremeEggThief

I vote Maurice McCauley, but some of the letters are poorly formed.
That's what I think too. Don't think it's Merrill, look at the "l"s in William, they stand out much more.
