Since the madness of our love/hate affair with Semantle is continuing, I thought I start a second thread. Why worry about the goings on in the world when you can pull your hair out over vocabulary?

To umderstand what I'm on about follow this link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

This game is so addictive even if I don't seem to be improving much! I got there eventually - attempt 199, with the first in top 1000 at guess #8, and penultimate attempt with a similarity of 58.95.

I've managed every day (except one when I was too busy) so far.

I like that these are limited to one game a day. I wasted this evening playing a game based on Wordle that you can play as many times as you like. Bad discovery!
