Hello everyone,
Does anyone have an idea how much roughly a new combi boiler is with fitting please. In the south east.... I've had a quote but it seems high. Another plumber wants to charge a big call out fee before he will even look!
TIA

I had a new boiler yesterday. I bought a Worcs Bosch 4000 30kw and flue for £1100, and paid £300 installation, so £1400 all in.

I had an old Worcs Bosch greenstar though, so it only took the engineer 3 hours to take the old one out and drop the new one in.

I’m confused Confused

You said in your OP that the quote (£1900) seemed high yet you say you were expecting around £2k.

As you can see from the replies you’ve had, prices vary right wildly depending on the type of boiler you need and where you live.

Personal recommendation is always the best place to start or ask on nextdoor.com for local recommendations. Get at least three quotes and check out reviews online.

All anyone on here can give you is their experience so unless they live where you do and have a similar house to yours their advice isn’t really going to be much help, especially if they had their boiler fitted before Covid hit because prices have increased for everything since then.

We paid £2778 2 years ago from British Gas for a Worcester Bosch combi boiler and Hive thermostat. We ordered it online on Monday, it was delivered on Tuesday, the workman came on Wednesday and fitted it and DHL collected the rubbish the same day.

Then we locked down a week later and we were so glad we had managed to get it done.

We've just paid £3,400 but that included relocation of the new boiler to fit in with kitchen layout.

We are in south east and paid £3k for new Worcester Bosch boiler but a couple of hundred of that was for installing Hive heating so I think your quite is very reasonable. Just make sure they're gas safe registered, give you all the paperwork etc.
