Is anyone else following it? Grin

Vardy's phone was accidentally dropped into the North Sea... Yeah right!

I'm a bit confused

Is RVs own lawyer going to question her?

Will CR and WR be questioned?

Are there any more witnesses?

Is this really only a week long trial?

friendlycat · 12/05/2022 18:13

I agree she can't recover from this whatever the outcome. Once this is over there will be loads of stories about RV coming out which will paint her in an even more unfavourable light - if that is at all possible.

But she appears to have not considered any of this.

Her agent is "too fragile" to give evidence.

JonSnowedUnder · 12/05/2022 18:28

I haven't followed the trial much but it seems very similar to the Johnny Depp trial. Did these people not weigh the consequences of all of their shit being laid bare against stepping back from the public eye for a bit and letting things die down? JD didn't even lose Fantastic Beasts until he lost the Sun case...which was due to him suing.

I'm waiting for the trial to be over so I can watch a full round up rather than day by day. I must say though I'm disappointed by the outfits, very reserved compared to WAGs a few years ago!

newnamethanks · 12/05/2022 18:59

O don't compare the Depp/Heard trial to this flotsam. This us just fluff, the other is dark, depressing and vicious. Leave me smiling at the pics of Wayne carrying his wife's spare handbag.

orangeisthenewpuce · 12/05/2022 19:05

Isn't the agent going to be called as a witness? I hope so.

HairyToity · 12/05/2022 19:10

I found the Depp / Heard trial quite sordid and depressing, this is just silly.

Can't wait for the dramatisation.

Gilmorehill · 12/05/2022 19:28

Is the judge sympathetic to her by allowing her a break when starts sobbing or is it something he has to do?

newnamethanks · 12/05/2022 19:29

Alas! The agent, Ms Watt, is in too fragile a state, psychologically, to appear in court to answer any questions. She has kindly submitted a report by a psychologist confirming this unfortunate turn of events . Poor thing. I expect we all wish her a speedy recovery.

DenholmElliot · 12/05/2022 19:37

I guess the judge is just posterior protecting. So that no-one on RV's legal team can come back at him afterwards and say RV didn't have a fair trial because she was forced to answer questions when she was obviously distressed.

Gymnopedie · 12/05/2022 19:51

Poor thing. I expect we all wish her a speedy recovery.

With the amount of muck RV's throwing her way, I hope she finds the strength to take to the stand anyway. I'm wondering if she's been paid off very handsomely to be 'too ill'.

Perhaps we should think her lucky that no one dropped her off a boat into the North Sea… RV certainly seems to be doing her best to do so, in a metaphorical sense at least.

Any volunteers to be her new agent… anyone? Maybe someone at the back…?

Figgygal · 12/05/2022 19:55

Its compelling shit

They both should be embarrassed

newnamethanks · 12/05/2022 19:58

BTW. The judge is a woman.

cleolayne · 12/05/2022 20:30

He has a lovely wife now but blimey PA made some dodgy choices in his past didn't he ! Vardy was a nobody back in 2007 too

Gilmorehill · 12/05/2022 21:07

I suspected that. I actually find the tears pathetic. It’s like a the helpless female’ strategy designed to provoke sympathy from the judge.

Gilmorehill · 12/05/2022 21:08

Ooh sorry! I feel like an idiot now!!

iknowimcoming · 12/05/2022 21:41

Vardy is an attention seeker first and foremost, so goes by the rule of no such thing as bad press, so the mere fact that we're talking about her means, in her tiny deluded mind she's winning, and regardless of the outcome there'll be interviews and book deals etc etc which will probably pay her legal fees (eventually)

I agree with this, she is currently trending on Twitter,
probably for all the wrong reasons (I haven't read all the tweets) but I suspect that she is pleased to be making the news, it's publicity, and she seems to thrive on that.

What a shallow life.

nilpois · 12/05/2022 22:21

*shallow life!

Not sure what went wrong with last post, apologies!

TigerLilyTail · 12/05/2022 23:17

I’m genuinely confused by people saying that CR is just as bad. Some of the things RV is accused of are really awful like leaking the story about Danielle Lloyd’s miscarriage and using the anniversary of CR’s sister’s death to contact her. Just really cold.

RV’s defense seems to be “I said leak but I didn’t actually mean leak.” “I said I want paying but that was just a joke” “I read that but I didn’t actually read that”. More holes that Swiss cheese. Even if she wins, nobody will believe she’s innocent here.

PeggyGa · 13/05/2022 00:30

Is CR going to take to the stand?

TigerLilyTail · 13/05/2022 06:12

Today apparently!

Timeline for rest of trial
According to a draft timetable provided by Coleen Rooney‘s lawyers, Rebekah Vardy is due to finish giving her evidence on Thursday.

Ms Rooney is then expected to give evidence all day on Friday and finish on Monday morning.

Ms Rooney‘s witnesses - Joe McLoughlin, Paul Stretford, Ian Monk, Rachel Monk and Mark Whittle - are then due to give evidence on Monday afternoon.

On Tuesday, Wayne Rooney is due to give evidence, followed by Claire Rooney, Harpreet Robinson and Penny Adaarewa.

Lawyers for both women are then expected to give their closing arguments on Wednesday.

Totally agree with all this.

RV insisted on taking the case, despite losing evidence. Which must be bloody bad because they stuff she HAS produced isn't doing her any favours at all.
The agent being her main witness isn't showing up.
Again, i just can't believe she's let this run.

And Colleen is the Defendant. For everyone saying she's as bad, she has no choice here. She's defending herself.

Vardy may get off on a technicality but she's been shown up for what she is. And in sure most people in those circles will thank CR.

user1471543094 · 13/05/2022 07:16

Not get off on a technicality, win on a technicality

jamimaflange · 13/05/2022 07:29

I read that she got pregnant three months after getting with Jamie. They married and his parents, grandparents and daughter didn't even go due to some rift with Rebekah. She's toxic.
