Favourite yummy thing to treat yourself to

Mine are hands down cupcakes, I never really had a sweet tooth upto about a year ago when I started baking rice krispie buns (hence the username) to give out to homeless people. Then I also sampled cupcakes and got hooked, though I generally only treat myself once a fortnight.

What is your favourite thing to treat yourself to?

Meal wise it’s cod, chips, a can of Diet Coke, mushy peas and a fuck ton of salt and vinegar - from the chip shop.
OR
French baguette with butter, sundried tomatoes, prosciutto, olives, salami or perhaps some Brie.

Sweet snack is a a custard slice or a strawberry custard tart

Wine and snacks

And old-school jammy doughnut from a bakery rocks my world every time Grin

KohlaParasaurus · 08/02/2022 18:05

I'd struggle to choose between baked cheesecake with a tangy fruit topping and expensive chocolate pralines for a solo pleasure.

schnubbins · 08/02/2022 18:13

Fresh bread from our local bakery here where I live in Germany , paired with a selection of cheeses or just butter oil/ balsamic vinegar and a glass of wine

billycat321 · 08/02/2022 18:14

pecan and maple syrup Danish pastry

@HumunaHey

Marks and Spencers Victoria sponge "muffin". It's basically a lovely bit of Victoria sponge - lovely jam inside and a good dollop of butter cream on top. It's only £1 and I can never resist getting one.
I agree yummy 😋

M&S do almond and hazelnut pastries which are just amazing and make me glad I don't have an M&S in my town or I'd be 50 clem!

Also their orange chocolate mini rolls in a tub are beautiful and almost remind me of a similar thing Cadburys did in a tub but were discontinued a couple of years ago. Amazebites i think they were called. Miss them 😭

WildFlowerBees · 08/02/2022 18:29

Very well done sourdough crumpets with Brie and chutney.

TyotyaKlava · 08/02/2022 18:47

Mmm where do I start… 🤔
Pancake with peanut butter and bananas
Rye boule with soft cheese and avocado
Medjool dates
Also obsessed with making oatmeal peanut butter and banana slices with chocolate chips - heaven!!!

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 08/02/2022 18:51

Bakery sausage rolls
Bakery cookies that are slightly chewy
Homemade pancakes
Fresh white bread toasted with butter
Chicken burger fries and milkshake from five guys.

Castello cheese, biscuits and chilli jam. Yum!

greenbirdsong · 08/02/2022 18:54

Those millionaire slices - biscuit, caramel and chocolate heaven!

ClariceQuiff · 08/02/2022 18:54

Instant mashed potato with butter and mayonnaise. Massive, massive bowl of it. Blush

Could hardly be less classy or healthy, I know.

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 08/02/2022 18:56

A box of Laduree macarons.

Justcashnosweets · 08/02/2022 19:10

The M&S profiterole dessert in a pot with chocolate ganache and mousse. Its my absolute favorite. I only ever buy one though as i could quite happily eat several of them 🤣

teaandchocolate1 · 08/02/2022 19:11

Lidl chocolate croissants 😍😋

MrsMiddleMother · 08/02/2022 19:14

What is a rice krispie bun?
NotJustACigar · 08/02/2022 19:16

Can't believe no one's mentioned sticky toffee pudding yet! Either the regular one or the chocolate. Or ice cream - any Ben and Jerry's or the praline Haagen Dazs.

100problems · 08/02/2022 19:18

A thick slice of Morrison's tiger bread and salted butter.

A chilled glass of Chablis.

tootyfruitypickle · 08/02/2022 19:22

Microwave macaroni cheese with added ketchup!

Lots of these I have anyway ! I mean , who can live without toast every day !

Holothane · 08/02/2022 19:23

Tonight it’s jelly sweets and chocolate if wanted I’m watching Spencer and can’t wait. If it’s tea treat its fish and chips, or if poor eggs in any way I can. Prawns king prawns as well a treat.
