Hugely addictive and fun is what it is. The fact so many people are playing it gives a little common ground for idle chit chat with colleagues

Exactly this. It's a good way to connect with people when making light conversation. Plus it's good to keep the brain ticking over.

My husband doesn't play it and is bemused by how often it turns up on Twitter. He's currently very pleased with himself because he's muted the word Wordle.

I like it. I do it on my phone while drinking my early morning tea. Helps wake me up.
