Has anyone else not had covid?

Just wondering how many others have managed to avoid it. My husband had it before Christmas and I was doing daily LFTs / had a PCR but didn’t catch it somehow, not really sure how as we weren’t really distancing

Me and my immediate family haven't. I've had 2 colds since January 2020. Both negative.

Yubaba · 14/01/2022 17:14

I’ve got it at the moment and DS2 had it before Christmas but DH, DD and DS1 haven’t had it and they are doing daily LFTs.
DS2 had Delta and I’ve had omicron.
I’m surprised I’ve not had it earlier tbh I work in a pharmacy and I’ve been exposed to it loads.

Shmithecat2 · 14/01/2022 17:14

None of my household has - 2 adults (1 works part time) and a primary age child.

I haven’t unless asymptomatic - that is luck and the privilege of being in a job I can wfh, not close to people like carers or teachers. I have access to a car and don’t have children.

IseeScottishhills · 14/01/2022 17:19

Im a front line HCP I see patients all the time who are positive with covid and have worked with colleagues who've also tested positive within 24 -48 hours of me working with them, to date I've never had it, confirmed pre vaccine by a blood test looking for antibodies. I'm fully vaccinated.

Blossom64265 · 14/01/2022 17:23

We have avoided it so far. My DH is one of the unlucky few who remains extremely vulnerable despite vaccination so we are basically still living in a version of lockdown. The relaxation of restrictions forced us into further isolation. It’s been a long 2 years.

miltonj · 14/01/2022 17:25

Me and my husband haven't had it as far as we know. We're not even particularly careful. (Not covid denying btw, I'm fully aware it exists)!

MrsPotatoHead22 · 14/01/2022 17:33

DH and kids haven't had it. I have but isolated for 7 days in my bedroom.

H1978 · 14/01/2022 17:35

I had it last year, dh just came out of isolation today but none of the kids have had it.

badlydrawnbear · 14/01/2022 17:39

As far as I know none of us (me, 2DC and DH until his non-Covid death in September) have. I had an antibody test in summer or autum 2000 and hadn’t then and have never tested positive, DC have had plenty of PCRs and never been positive. This is surprising as I travelled on public transport and did a job that cannot be done with social distancing throughout and DC continued to attend school while I was at work.

Dippydinosaurus · 14/01/2022 17:41

Me 😁. I'm a teacher, have a child at school and another at nursery. No idea how we've dodged it. I'm triple vaxxed, wash my hands A LOT and try to stay away from people as much as possible. We haven't been to soft play for two years. I do LFD tests twice a week and the odd PCR test when unwell but all negative. I think it's just luck though as my colleagues seem to be dropping like flies since the start of term.

lljkk · 14/01/2022 17:43

Presumably everyone in our house has had it at least 3x... since in this household, we don't LFT pre-emptively. We can't know.

I also barely know anyone in Britain who has had it.

HugeAckmansWife · 14/01/2022 17:45

Me. I'm a teacher, kids at different schools, use public transport, really not being "careful" in terms of handwashing or sanitising more than I have to if I'm asked as I enter a shop or something. None of us have had it. All have had various other cold like things but tested negative on PCRs. None of my immediate family or colleagues or friends who have had it (which is none of the former and relatively few of the latter two) have been any more than mildly ill.

Not us 4, and barely anyone We know.

ChaToilLeam · 14/01/2022 17:47

We haven’t had it. We follow sensible precautions but not OTT, and it seems to have passed us by so far. Many family members and friends have had it, even though they’re much more careful. We had a scare early on when a client of DP’s came down with it soon after visiting him but we were okay.

mathanxiety · 14/01/2022 17:47

I don't want to jinx myself, but I haven't had it yet.

dinahsdishes · 14/01/2022 17:48

I haven't and don't know anyone who has had it either. No friends or family

GoodnightGrandma · 14/01/2022 17:49

Me.

MrMistoffee · 14/01/2022 17:50

None of us. Kids at two different schools, work in pubs when they are open. Kids at 14 dance classes a week between them. Been doing at least twice weekly LFT's. Sometimes daily due to extreme close contacts. None of us have tested positive. I've been triple jabbed though.

nordica · 14/01/2022 17:50

Me. I have quite a lot of protective factors though in that I was WFH even before the pandemic, don't have kids, live alone, and generally don't like big crowds anyway so haven't been to any clubs, pubs, live sports etc.

I think I'm going to catch it on public transport sooner or later though especially if masks stop being mandatory again.

SallyOMalley · 14/01/2022 17:52

Not as far as I'm aware. DS (Y7 at the time) had it last May and none of us got it. DD is at primary school where it's gone through other classes like a dose of salts before Christmas, but she's been clear so far.

We've been 'close contacts' several times and have PCR'd accordingly, and I test twice a week for work. So far, so negative ...

Suzi888 · 14/01/2022 17:53

Not as far as I know…

GrandRapids · 14/01/2022 17:53

No, not that I know of and I haven't been particularly careful either 🤷🏼‍♀️

GrandRapids · 14/01/2022 17:54

I should also say my child had it and was breathing all over me. Still didn't get it
