Choose or avoid same birthday as DH when booking a c sec?

Major first world problem here.

I’m due soon with baby #2 and it will be a scheduled c-section. The hospital have said any date after xx, and the first available day happens to be DH’s birthday. Aside from the fact I am desperate to get the baby out Grin I can’t decide if she is likely to grow up loving or resenting having the same birthday as her DDad. DH doesn’t mind either way but definitely has a big soft spot for the idea.

It’s also a culturally significant date that would be cool to have as a birthday growing up and while at Uni, lots of boozing involved Wink

My DD has the same birthday as her fiancé and her grandfather! Can be a pain in terms of seeing different sets of friends and family.

Avoid without a doubt

I'm currently pregnant my Mum has actually made an only half-joking request to share her birthday with Baby

Different. Must be awful sharing a birthday with a direct relative.

Different day. Each deserves to have their own celebrations. Plus it's not actually good to have a St Patrick's day birthday, it means your birthday will always be taken over by related celebrations in most pubs. Push it a couple of days later. Then they can always do joint celebrations if they want but without having to.

Def different. I don't really see any benefit to having the same day (and don't really understand how it's cute but I'm a cold old bird Grin).

Give child their own special day. I thought my dgs was going to be born on my birthday but thankfully one day later as after midnight. One day after I have died I don't want dgc being sad on their birthday.

Definitely have a different day.
