Just de-christmassed the house and feel so sad

Because DH is asleep in his bed in the living room. All signs of Christmas are gone but all signs of his cancer rapidly taking hold are there. I don't know if I can do this. I keep leaving the room to cry.

His ex wife has just come to see him. Even though I invited her it felt a little strange at first having her here as they share so much history but over a cuppa and some sandwiches it actually went well. He is less sleepy today and is drinking much more which is nice to see. Small (almost 2) climbed up and sat next to him today and they DH and Small chatted away for a while, Small was desperate for a cuddle from him so a cuddle he got.

Dot and Small sound lovely. I am glad you felt OK with the visit. Cuddles are the best. You are in my thoughts.
