Love these threads when I'm up in the night. Makes me feels less alone!

I'm up because of restless legs and my enormous roast dinner I had today is playing havoc with my stomach now. I've ordered some magnesium spray for the restless legs and took some Gaviscon for the stomach. Watching Gavin and Stacey with the dog until I feel better

Because DS 13 has projectile vomited all over his bedroom. It's even up the curtains. Not sure it's a symptom but better lft in the morning 👎

Happylittlethoughts · 27/12/2021 05:07

Day 10 of Covid. Sleep pattern also ruined.
Googling Magnesium spray 👀

Filmbuffmum · 27/12/2021 05:08

Just tested positive. Already been home for two weeks while everyone else had it- cancelled visits to Grandparents etc. Had my booster the day before DS2 got sick, and was just starting to think I might have escaped. Have tested every day fir a fortnight. DS1 stayed in his room, as did DH, both due out on Wednesday. Was hoping to do one Christmas trip to see some outdoor lights. Feel like I have an elephant standing on my chest, and throat like sandpaper. Sigh.

@StarDanced

My 9 month old ds has a really horrible cold and fluctuating temperature (covid test was negative). He is so congested is struggling to sleep so is curled up on me tonight. He's just managed to drop off after an hour of being awake. DH will take over around 7am so I can get some more sleep (he also did a shift with ds earlier so I could grab a couple of hours). Wish there was something I could do to help reduce ds's congestion. Hopefully he will shift this bug soon.
Have you tried a big bowl of boiling water in his room, or whatever room he is in, with something like eucalyptus or olbas oil drops in. Or even a small amount of vicks? Helped when my DS was really congested as a baby.
MrsBtobe1208 · 27/12/2021 05:21

I'm up because my nearly 2 year old has been screaming the house down for nearly an hour and is just calming down 🙄

Paleodiet · 27/12/2021 05:33

PaleoCat was scuffling around under the bed. He had brought me a dead bird. I have cleared up the feathers etc & can’t get back to sleep. His Tigerness is now lying on my chest, purring.

MrsTaytodarling · 27/12/2021 05:40

Feeling rotten, DH and DS covid pos so I'm assuming I'm the same now. Awaiting pcr result but lfts all neg

Twinkleylight · 27/12/2021 05:45

I'm having a snuggle with my sleeping 1 Yr nephew. I'm baby sitting him while his parents are on a mini break. Mine are apparently too old for snuggles so it's nice to be able to cuddle a baby.

TheLovelinessOfBaublyDemons · 27/12/2021 05:46

DH got up and woke me up.

sleepismyhobby · 27/12/2021 05:58

Nightshift only me and a carer on to look after 40 residents as all staff have Covid! Just sat down fir 5 mins before I start bedbaths

ilovebagpuss · 27/12/2021 05:58

DCat has a nest on top of the wardrobe to escape the attentions of Dkitten. However as he’s such a chubster when he jumps down the thud wakes me thinking some disaster is afoot. Now I’m awake I’m listening for DD12 who has ear infection and has been waking me for painkillers. I’m so tired was supposed to be a restful Christmas.

SantasGotABigOne · 27/12/2021 06:26

Hope you're feeling better op

I haven't been to bed yet. Night shift worker. Almost home.

Oxborn · 27/12/2021 06:30

Other half is snoring next to me and it’s my bday

Portlandia · 27/12/2021 06:34

I woke up around 5 with indigestion, sweats and a dry mouth (after eating roast dinner left overs for tea, then some chocolate), then the dog needed taking outside around 5.50. Now she's sleeping on me in bed but I can't sleep.

BackBackBack · 27/12/2021 07:46

Wish I'd found this thread earlier.

Up because I had an awful dream and woke up crying and feeling dreadful.

Oxborn · 27/12/2021 07:51

How horrible hope you feel better now

MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 08:29

I'm back, I managed about an hours sleep my stomach has been awful! No more roasts for me for a while 😭 I'm back downstairs with the dog, everyone else still asleep so I'm having a cuppa and watching Judge Judy.

Sorry to hear more of us couldn't sleep, hope everyone manages a nap today!

I find my restless legs are better if I keep them cold, out of the duvet.

GoodnightGrandma · 27/12/2021 09:14

I actually had a good night’s sleep last night because I didn’t have anything to drink. No alcohol.
Alcohol and peri menopause do not mix !

@Impatientwino

It did seem to help me when I used it but we'll see! He's really suffering at the moment bless him. He's 5 foot tall and growing like a weed at the moment!
I'm only 5 foot 2!
