Love these threads when I'm up in the night. Makes me feels less alone!

I'm up because of restless legs and my enormous roast dinner I had today is playing havoc with my stomach now. I've ordered some magnesium spray for the restless legs and took some Gaviscon for the stomach. Watching Gavin and Stacey with the dog until I feel better

My normal sleeping pattern! Or what I revert to when I'm not forced into a normal one by work Grin

Locomelon · 27/12/2021 03:21

DD2 woke me as the cat was stuck in her wardrobe 😂 Was fast asleep, now wide awake with my brain in overdrive. Am sure I felt a small lump in my breast at bedtime.

DC2 wide awake at 2am. Spent an hour with her. Given up and handed over to DH.

pinkfondu · 27/12/2021 03:23

FamilyLife123 · 27/12/2021 03:26

My 15 month old is having ab unsettled night so I'm up feeding him, plus I have tooth ache

MissCruellaDeVil · 27/12/2021 03:26

I have a cold (not covid I've tested), it's the school holidays so I'm not working and it's thrown my routine and the lack of routine contributes to my anxiety. Can't wait to get back in January!

Mummacake · 27/12/2021 04:11

Fell asleep reasonably early the woken at 2am courtesy of teenager on PS4. It is unusual for them to be up so late but is taking liberties with the festive season 🙄

Fallagain · 27/12/2021 04:15

Feeding the toddler. I’m restless and I’m disturbing her.

mrsbyers · 27/12/2021 04:17

Stoma bag leaked (awaiting surgery to have it fixed for 3 years) Dog has been in the bin and now guarding a packet of M&S cheese sticks which are very noisy packaging wise

SameToo · 27/12/2021 04:23

DD2 has chicken pox on the back of a chest infection so hasn’t slept properly for weeks. Her dad has had Covid so was isolating from us all so I’ve done lead up to and Xmas by myself. I’m done in. She’s happy playing with her toys.

AnnaMarieQ · 27/12/2021 04:28

I’m awake, waiting for my DS (19) to arrive home after driving 300 miles from his fathers. He went to stay with his father on Christmas Eve, for the week. Late tonight his father told him he couldn't stay as his partner has arranged for them to visit her family in Scotland for the rest of the week. What a great dad eh!!

So DS is on his way home.

LakeShoreD · 27/12/2021 04:29

Car was stolen. Got it back about 20 minutes later thanks to the tracker and the police but can’t get back to sleep now!

BooseysMom · 27/12/2021 04:30

No apparent reason, just can't sleep again.
I think it's a menopausal thing as it keeps happening.

Same here. Every night I wake between 3 and 4. I lie there for an hour then eventually fall back asleep.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 27/12/2021 04:31

I've woken the toddler while wandering around the house unable to sleep Shock.
Thought I'd just peek around the door to check on her and she was staring back at me. Turns out she has the leakiest ever nappy and everything is soaked.
Now she has very loud hiccups and has been sneezing so has likely caught my nasty cold.

Going to sit up eating Pringles until I know she's gone back down.

KloppsTeeth · 27/12/2021 04:33

Covid head and neck ache. My sleep pattern has been screwed by the fatigue I have felt, been sleeping too much during the day, had an early night and now wide awake. Headache won’t go. Out of covid quarantine but still feel rotten.

Sorry to other people who are also awake and don’t want to be.

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 27/12/2021 04:34

@AnnaMarieQ Wow!! Parent of the year right there! Your poor son.

I know. Hopefully this will be the wake up call DS needs. Father of the year has had far too many chances. Bastard!! 🤬

Contemplating life and marriage.

gravybones · 27/12/2021 04:45

My boyfriend kicked me out yesterday. I went to sleep quite nicely, exhausted after all the arguing. But woke up at 4am and briefly forgot what had happened, then it hit me again.

I've got a headache building from all the crying so I've just made a cuppa, had some paracetamol and I'm back in bed with my angel of a dog who is snuggling. He is totally in tune with my moods and knows when I need a cuddle

Thismummyrunstheshow · 27/12/2021 04:51

Up with DC2. She wakes up at least once a night for no reason, took me ages to settle her. I'm exhausted from doing this night after night.
I'm laying here scared to try and go back to sleep incase she starts again.

I feel like I'll never get sleep again. It's relentless

StarDanced · 27/12/2021 04:51

My 9 month old ds has a really horrible cold and fluctuating temperature (covid test was negative). He is so congested is struggling to sleep so is curled up on me tonight. He's just managed to drop off after an hour of being awake. DH will take over around 7am so I can get some more sleep (he also did a shift with ds earlier so I could grab a couple of hours). Wish there was something I could do to help reduce ds's congestion. Hopefully he will shift this bug soon.

Lulu1919 · 27/12/2021 04:56

Went to bed much later than normal....had adult daughters and partners for the evening
So now I've had four hours sleep ...
Hoping to fall off again in an hour or so ,,,,think my mind too busy

AlexCabot · 27/12/2021 04:59

Work in half an hour. Terrible night's sleep, kept waking up for no reason, actually got up at 2am thinking my alarm had gone off!
Only in work until 12 but I think it's going to be a looooong 6 and half hours.

frenchiemummy92 · 27/12/2021 05:02

@Thismummyrunstheshow know how you feel. My DD2 won't sleep in her own bed. She's 4 in July. Even if I get her in her own bed she wakes up every night without fail and ends up with us. Put her in with her big sister but now she won't even sleep in with her. Started just putting her straight to sleep in our bed. She will check throughout the night to make sure you are still laid with her.
