Why are you awake?

Poorly DD who is 14 months and coughing a lot and wheezing a little - can't sleep properly and I'm keeping a regular eye on her. And bloody DH snoring again. Once I'm awake and I hear him, that's it. He has partially untreated sleep apnoea. Had had an op before we met in his 20s but refuses to investigate further and we don't have a spare room that either of us can hide in when needed unfortunately.

Both DDs have been tag teaming illness for months and my average sleep has been 4 hours a night since September. I'm really struggling. Together with coronavirus anxiety, it's sent me quite mental. I keep shouting or crying and I know it's mostly lack of sleep.

I'm awake because my 9 year old feels sick and has some back pain. Hoping we both drift off again soon.

Only recently moved 9 month old in own room - I wake sometimes worried about her so go in to check she ok - accidentally kicked the cot on exiting room 🤦‍♀️ She woke up 🙄😆🤪

Feeding DD who is 20 months. I'm pretty fed up with night feeds to be honest. We have night weaned her twice but each time she ends up going backwards when she is ill.
I know she can sleep through as she has done it when I wasn't there, but if I'm there she screams blue murder until I feed he

I've no idea why I'm awake. I just pinged awake and feel all alert. Might get up for a cuppa.

I need to get as much laundry done as I can before work and the huge mountain of it must be stressing me, so I've got a load on.

Wrapping all the presents I should have weeks ago. When I say wrapping presents, I’m reading Mumsnet, drinking coffee and eyeing the task from the other side of the spare room.

I had my booster today and am aching all over and have a headache. Hoping it all sorts itself out quickly.

Good old fashioned insomnia for me.
Had a covid-related anxiety dream, and woke fretting about seeing vulnerable family members on Xmas day, then fretted about some scammers who were door knocking our street yesterday. Doubt I'll nod off again but here's hoping!

Dd (2) decided to throw a tantrum at 2am and wouldn’t settle at all so now we’re both wide awake

I’m 6 months pregnant, needed a wee and now I can’t sleep

Another one with 3am insomnia. Was drifting back to sleep then blasted cat jumped on my bed and miaowed loudly. Also I’m taking my son to his dad’s for Christmas later today so I’m mentally running through the packing and the long drive 😞

Awake as had to put dog to sleep yesterday after finding out about advanced cancer.

No idea, my body thinks 4:43 is morning this week, I've woken at the exact same time every day.

Just too much going on. I've lists of lists! It was all going around and around my head, so I got up and started wrapping some presents. We've guests arriving tomorrow, I've a house to clean and beds to make. I also have to learn some music for a performance tomorrow and it is very tricky so that will be this evenings work. Somewhere along the way I have to collect a parcel, do another last minute shop and make a chocolate log. Sleep is for wimps!

Haven't slept at all tonight, I've read my book, tossed and turned and finally got up at 4am for a cuppa. I'll be scrap by this afternoon

Woke up at 3am for a wee….

Remembered my DS11 is isolating at his dads as he tested positive for covid on Monday…and that I won’t see him on Xmas day or Boxing Day.

So had a little cry….and now I’ve got a headache so given up on sleep and watching King Gary. Again.

Woke up at half past midnight when DH came home from work. Couldn't get back to sleep so I've been wallpapering 🤣 Now drinking coffee and trying to work out what else I can get done without waking DH up...! Shops are open at 7am so I guess I can go and grab the last few food things then, maybe drop off a couple of Christmas cards on my travels...

Woke up with a migraine. So much to do today too... gah!

I'm wide awake, but not in a good way.
I've a headache through getting so little sleep lately, and I've now had toast so have heartburn, too.

Barely sleeping at all at the moment, due to a 12 week old that, since being really poorly a month ago, will only sleep when being held. As soon as he’s back in the crib it’s a matter of minutes before he wakes up. DH and I are taking it in turns to deal with him but we’re both only getting a few hours sleep a night. It’s not great. I’m feeling exhausted and angry and nothing is working to get him sleeping in the cot.

My DH woke me at 2.30, with sickness, hot and cold shivers and stomach pain. He had an operation 2 weeks ago to remove a bladder tumour, so we were both worried. Called an ambulance and they've taken him to A&E. Nice crew have taken him to the one at the hospital he was operated on at,(!) rather than our local one; so if they keep him in they'll have all his details. I have to phone at about 9.00 to see how things are going.

I woke up being sick in horrendous pain, luckily the nurses have topped up my meds and I’m starting to feel better, although itchy since they’ve given me the pain meds.

Currently in hospital with a serious kidney and bladder infection, which were caused by a kidney stone I didn’t know I had!

And to put the final boot in I’m also being treated for sepsis.
