Who do you hate yourself for fancying?

I am listening to the various covers of Time after Time (after watching hearing it on an advert), and found a Ronan Keating version.

I remember being so disappointed in him having an affair with a backing dancer back in the day, and though so much less of him because of it.

Listening to his version of Time after Time just fluttered something in my stomach awakening an old crush I had in my teenage years. He was beautiful and I loved his voice (but he did a fucking selfish thing which pissed me off massively at the time).

@Bloodypunkrockers

Some very weird posts on here

There have been threads devoted to fancying Greg Davies. Why on earth would some of you hate yourself for fancying him. Same with Nicky Byrne

Mine is Giles Coren. An insufferable twat but in regency breeches or other time travelling costume
And his voice. I hate myself but my body doesn't listen to my head

Thank God, another Giles Coren person Grin

@Pieceofpurplesky

Yes to The Mandolorian. As long as he kept his helmet on. Same with Darth Vader.

Real people weird crushes are Seth Rogan and Adam Driver (as Adam in girls or Kylo Ren)

What is it about Star Wars bad boys? I particularly love the way Anakin gets steadily more bad + steadily more hot in Revenge of the Sith Blush. And I would climb Kylo Ren like a tree, not gonna lie. I'm kind of conflicted about Adam Driver generally though - somehow he is really hot in certain specific roles and a bit meh in others???

The Mandalorian is totally understandable though, with or without the helmet. Pedro Pascal prob isn't 'conventional' but he has such an expressive face

Barry Grant in Brookside when he still had hair. Ray Winstone.

Oh yes, Rik Mayall too

Bloodypunkrockers · 19/11/2021 11:38

Rik Mayall is and was amazing

I can't think of one reason why anyone would hate themselves for fancying him

He was also a really classically good looking man. I don’t get it either.

Me too actually

I also have on my sociopath list Dexter and Stringer Bell 😊

Shoobydooer · 19/11/2021 13:44

I get the Adam Driver thing, pp. That smile at the end of The Rise of Skywalker changed his face beyond all recognition - don't think I've seen him manage one before or since Grin. Just beautiful!

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 19/11/2021 13:47

Adam Driver is very sexy

Aramis from Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds.
OMG me too, I thought I was the only one.
Exhausteddog · 19/11/2021 13:50

Aramis from Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds.

I'm going to have to search this on YouTube as I can't remember which one I liked (it wasn't dogtanian!🤣) im relieved to see that, even if its not Arabic, I'm not alone in finding a cartoon dog in medieval clothes, attractive!Blush

Exhausteddog · 19/11/2021 13:50
  • Aramis - bloody auto correct
ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 19/11/2021 13:55

I don't hate myself, but it's just not right, is it?

Love a good sociopath - add Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) to the list

That's not a hate situation AT ALL. Sociopath or not, he's a beautiful man, especially in Sherlock. That Belstaff coat. Those slightly tight shirts.

I bet it's Aramis, he was the intelligent, gentlemanly one. I think he must have been my very first crush aged 7.
Tal45 · 19/11/2021 14:09

Fortunately I have moved on from dogs since then.

Indeed! The scene where he ruffles his own hair and kisses Molly does things to me greatly
DialSquare · 19/11/2021 14:33

I'm starting to hate myself less due to no longer feeling alone in my weirdness! I posted this earlier on in the thread but posting again for @Exhausteddog!
Also, I can't even use being young at the time as an excuse.

IntermittentParps · 19/11/2021 14:34

CandleWick4, so MANY scenes like that...!

Exhausteddog · 19/11/2021 18:37

@Tal45 @DialSquare

Lol. Yes it was that oneSmile...but the 1980s version!!Blush

DialSquare · 19/11/2021 18:45

Yes it's the original version for me too. I just thought that was a nice picture!

Notthissticky · 19/11/2021 19:02

Matt Hancock (very irritated his (sex) life seemed much more exciting than mine, having office romps). Can't stand his politics but physically he is 100% my type...
