Who do you hate yourself for fancying?

I am listening to the various covers of Time after Time (after watching hearing it on an advert), and found a Ronan Keating version.

I remember being so disappointed in him having an affair with a backing dancer back in the day, and though so much less of him because of it.

Listening to his version of Time after Time just fluttered something in my stomach awakening an old crush I had in my teenage years. He was beautiful and I loved his voice (but he did a fucking selfish thing which pissed me off massively at the time).

Various young ladies who caught my attention over the last thirty years, none of whom responded as I'd have liked. Shit happens. What it is to be one of the unlucky ones.

Robin Hood - the fox version- was my sexual awakening. That is one sexy fox.

And yes to Greg Davies but that's hardly embarrassing.

Oh me too. Still re-watching his dances on YouTube. Mmmmmmmm.

Gahd, this takes me back. For me, it was Mel Gibson in Chicken Run.

And I can't blame it on extreme youth either. I was 17 and knew my way around cartoons by that time.

merryhouse · 18/11/2021 23:02

Ed Balls is a perfectly reasonable crush!

OhWhyNot · 18/11/2021 23:06

Tony Soprano

It’s the whole alpa male thing

James Gandolfini was an attractive man but never so attractive as when playing Tony Soprano

ILoveCake12 · 18/11/2021 23:09

I have a massive crush on both Freddie Flintoff and Dan Smith from Bastille. My DH can't understand why I'm so keen to watch Top Gear on a Sunday!!

OhWhyNot · 18/11/2021 23:10

Adam Ant was my first crush

Watching him strutting around dressed up as a highway man I still got a little flustered he was so sexy

Nillynally · 18/11/2021 23:50

@MintMe

Ed Balls.
Not just me then!
MichelleScarn · 18/11/2021 23:54

Draco Malfoy, has it been admitted by anyone else yet? Oh the bad boy of my bookish days, he just needed someone to show him the light!

TannyFickler · 18/11/2021 23:55

Not so much a hate myself crush as just a niche crush, the vicar in Keeping Up Appearances 🙃

SamDees · 19/11/2021 00:03

Harry Styles, but only for the last year or so.

Him singing about the female orgasm in 'Watermelon Sugar' set me off.

He is very far away from my usual 'type'.

He's way too young for me, although his current gf is also an 'older' woman.

I should go and say a few Hail Mary's now, as penance.

Bloodypunkrockers · 19/11/2021 00:41

Some very weird posts on here

There have been threads devoted to fancying Greg Davies. Why on earth would some of you hate yourself for fancying him. Same with Nicky Byrne

Mine is Giles Coren. An insufferable twat but in regency breeches or other time travelling costume
And his voice. I hate myself but my body doesn't listen to my head

Bloodypunkrockers · 19/11/2021 00:52

@bookworm14

Michael Fassbender.
Really? Why in earth would you hate yourself for that?

Is he an arsehole or something?

Afonavon · 19/11/2021 05:51

@Sugarcake

My husband .0
Why do you hate yourself for fancying your husband?

@littlemissminor

Chiggs from the current GBBO and Nicky Byrne from Westlife.... I go weak at the knees just thinking about him
But why do you hate yourself for fancying them? Have they done something awful?

OhWhyNot · 19/11/2021 07:29

Michael Fassbender ex partner reported him to the police for being violent (really awful attack) and there ha been other rumours

It resurfaced again a few years ago. He doesn’t seem as prominent now

SpinachIsAGatewayDrug · 19/11/2021 07:47

Henry Cavill. Now, I know you're all going to say he's mainstream and so it makes no sense to hate myself but he gives me A Very Bad Vibe. A bad #metoo vibe. I both would and would not want to be left alone with him.

SpinachIsAGatewayDrug · 19/11/2021 07:49

Posted too soon.

Also Oscar Pistorius Confused

Toto Wolff is fine and understandable. I mean, if I wrote a sexy sexy book and put him as the strong, alpha lead with that name, accent and appearance - I'd be criticised for being TOO cliche Grin

user1471562482 · 19/11/2021 08:12

If it's based on voices only; Amol rajan, Chris Mason, Ian mcmillan and Steve Coogan.

Romemarie · 19/11/2021 08:59

@lollipoprainbow

Jeremy Clarkson!
Ooooooh this reminds me of a time I was really really really drunk around Christmas... and on the TV was old top gear, I sat and declared my love for Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson to my now DH. I told him how sexy they both was.

To this day my DH never ever let's me live it down. Definitely a huge cringe moment for me.

Not a massive Potterhead, but isn't Draco love a recognised thing in the HP fandom? Must admit I have a bit of a thing for Malfoy Snr Blush. Jason Isaacs is fab

Agree, Tony Soprano is a huge crush of mine but I don’t hate myself for it - I’m quite proud 😂
ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 19/11/2021 09:29

@Brian9600

Dominic Raab
@Brian9600

I know exactly where he lives. it's too close for comfort

museumum · 19/11/2021 09:46

Sargent Hathaway from Lewis.
But Laurence Fox is just unbearable as himself.
