So they open at 0600 tomorrow. How long do you think we'll be stuck in a queue to get one. And will all the good ones be gone by the time we do

I've secured my slot with 3 bottles of whiskey for no reason.. That's what i always do.

I think the delivery saver access was halted during covid but I'm not sure about now. Definitely worth it just for Christmas. Asdas slots have been and gone so that was my back up, obsessively checking that

Am I right in thinking you have to sacrifice on of your regular pre-booked slots to allow for a Christmas one? Say for example I always have my next two booked. I just cancelled the second one for the 23rd December as I couldn’t see an option for a 3rd/Christmas slot? First-timer

Last year I think it was the other way round and I ended up with the 21st or something, the Tesco Christmas Slot Gods were shining on me this year.

@nicky2512 You can just add 3 bottles of gin to reserve the slot, but if you want Christmas entertaining food, add that now before it sells out, then do a final edit on the 13th December for the entertaining stuff.

@nicky2512 - you can out just a couple of items in basket, then book slot. You then usually have 2 hours to go to checkout and pay. You can either add more items before, or edit basket up to a bit before. Is usually up to the night before delivery- not sure if they are going to limit this on any xmas ones so they know there won't be changes. Although - after the probs they had a few weeks back where people couldn't edit their baskets, I now edit mine earlier so don't just get milk delivered!

You can book up to 6 slots I think. On the app press the calendar button at the top. I made the same assumption last year .

Something weird is going on. I logged on at 6.10am and got straight in to choose a date. My cousin who was logged in at 5.50am is 6,000 and something in the queue. We live in the same area and use the same store for deliveries. Very odd.

I’ve just dropped to 59 minutes!!!

Asda was so much easier. I was on and sorted in no time. Tesco order is for my parents though so more important!

Logged in on my laptop, an hour to wait. Tried the app, straight in, booked a slot, all done and dusted. Sorry, laptop, you're fired.

Well it's moving, I'm down to 30 mins wait from more than an hour at 603 this morning
Wouldn't mind but this is my mum's slot, she's h ousebound so I'll have a hectic time if she doesn't get a slot! Hoping her area isn't as popular for deliveries!

Should I be worried, I went on at 5.40 (cheers toddler for the 5am wake up) and just booked. No queue?!

Good luck everyone! Mine moved really fast went from 58 to less than 1 in about 15 mins

I just tried again and it let me straight on again. No queue or anything. Something weird is going on.

I have had the confirmation emails though.

I it's fast moving now for those waiting it's changing every 30 seconds, I'm on 16 mins now. Thank God I put stuff in my basket last night!

Thu 23 Dec, 9-10am

I was on a laptop, on ethernet (this is so outing but in the argument whether wifi or data is better I can tell you ethernet beats both).

I was 189452 on the computer, straight in on the app and booked 23rd.

Hmm. Joined the website queue at 6.00, queue number 100k+

Read the advice on here to try the app - downloaded and logged in at 6.09, straight in and booked.

I'm relieved but it's not very fair is it?!

Mine did this last year but when I got back on, I still had the slot! Fingers crossed
