Tesco Christmas Slots

So they open at 0600 tomorrow. How long do you think we'll be stuck in a queue to get one. And will all the good ones be gone by the time we do

I am 109151 in the queue on the pc - but I've just gone straight in on the app and booked 16th and 23rd December.

What device please?

Booked on the app at 6.01 am, with no queuing.

How strange, I got straight through on the app just before 6 and was able to check out. However there were slots showing for Christmas Day, which clearly isn't right! So I'm not feeling too smug about my slot yet...

I’m on the app, have been for half an hour. The queue must not be done in order of who logs on first.

I had to download the app as I never use it and it just says there is an error when I try to do anything on it.

I only got in the queue at 545 so not liking my chances of a decent slop

So the queue actually opened at some random time before 6? Not quite what they advised but whatever. Currently at 80,000. Will see if I get in/can be arsed to wait.

I was 36809 in the queue on my tablet but got straight in on the app.

Far easier than last year

Thanks red glitter I was 55,000 or so in the queue but managed to log on and get 17th and 23rd with ease. I'm due a baby on the 12th and DH can't drive so this is a big relief!

@toolazytothinkofausername i just downloaded it about 5 minutes ago. A huwaei p30... I went to book a slot at the basket tab and scrolled along.

43k in the queue, I was on at 5:40

Its not as last year I got straight in on the website but others were queueing for ages, who were there before me, it probably as fair as the Next VIP slots

Those with the app getting an error keep shutting it down completely and opening it again and you may get lucky, I did.

It’s moving fast for me just jumped from 57 mins to 21 mins wait

How do you get a delivery pass? I’ve never seen how to get one and can never get a slot anywhere near Christmas.

We have shopped at Tesco for 20+ years and get a weekly delivery. Must have spent thousands. Barely ever go to the actual store except at sodding Christmas when I’m working and don’t have the time!

Can I ask - I usually copy my last order in. I’m scared to do that today (if I ever get in). Can I literally put one item in and then add to it later?

It won't help for this year, but it will save you money overall.

I was 9000 and something, it said an hour ten minutes ago, then jumped down to 20 minutes. Presumably as everyone choses their date and checks out with just a bunch of bananas...

I do, I've put a bottle of champagne in and checked out. Will amend it in a few days time ...

183000 odd on the app

I logged on 6.01 and went straight through and booked. My friend went on at 5.50 and is still queing

Why are the Tesco Christmas slots so much hard work compared to other supermarkets? I've just given up and booked one for Asda no waiting in queues or anything. I normally do my shopping in Tesco every week but I cba waiting in a queue for them 🤨

I should have gone off data on my app not wifi, that's always quicker. I'm on the app in a queye, by the sounds of it if I'd just used data is have been in😣😣

I used data and didn't get in.

I logged in on the app at 5:45 - number 32645 still waiting with a queue time of over an hour. It’s telling me I’ve still got 44 minutes to wait.
Had a look at the website - I’d be number 170540!
Very annoying that it’s letting some people log straight on!
