Cant see another thread....

So they open at 0600 tomorrow. How long do you think we'll be stuck in a queue to get one. And will all the good ones be gone by the time we do

I'm setting my alarm for 0530 I think 🤔

I was 114000 something in the queue when I logged on at 06:58! But went down quickly, got to 4 mins estimated time then back up to 19 minutes then the queue was paused. Finally got in about 7:15. What a rollercoaster Grin

DH then said that I’d could have gone to the shop and done the shopping in that time. Hopelessly naive….

Managed to get a delivery on 22nd, perfect as I always do a quick shop on 24th for any substitutes. I've already got most dry things just in case

I joined about ten to six. I was 60,000th ish in the queue.

It took about 40 minutes but there was still a lot of availability.

But seriously how is this our lives?!

Oops I forgot about this, when I woke up husband said he'd booked 8 - 4 on 22nd. I would have preferred a smaller time slot but he said they were all gone on 22nd.

Also got an Asda click and collect on 23rd for anything that Tesco don't deliver.

Yes, if you don't have a Delivery Pass, you won't be able to book till the 23rd

I logged on at 5:50 using the app and got a slot straight away. But I'm worried now - someone upthread said there were Christmas Day slots which obviously isn't right. I've got the 24th - but my store has never delivered on that day before so I really hope it's not a mistake. I've got the confirmation email but ...

You'll have some tesco employee rocking up in their own car with food from their fridge 😁

Totally slipped my mind until 7:10, went straight on the app was all checked out by 7:20 I'm amazed never done it so fast.
I went for 21st as tesco more likely to have everything I need and have found over the years that I get less substitutes /not available than slots closer to Christmas. Ours don't do Christmas eve slots either.

How long does it take to process ? Thanks in advance.

Took me over an hour and half but did get a four hour window on 23rd. I was nearly 170000 in the queue

Saw this thread at 5.30am when I was awake for a bit.
Joined the queue, where the wait was about an hour.
Woke up normal time and did the morning stuff.
Have just remembered the queue, but got the message saying my space expired. Fair enough!
I am back in the queue and the wait time is about 5 mins now.

Oh I feel soooo Christmassy!

Logged on 6.15am, DH took toddler and my phone downstairs, arrived back upstairs at 7.15am with me 300th in the queue got in a couple of minutes later and managed to book the 22nd. First year being a delivery pass holder. To be honest I don't know if I will bother next year, previously I have managed to go on for non delivery pass day and not queue and get a decent slot anyway!

I'm a twat! I don't even have delivery saver any more, and I don't need it as I do click and collect which is about £1.25 per collect.

Well, what a frustrating, annoying and disappointing experience, Tesco.

Tried to log on at 6am, having had to set the alarm to try to book a slot and after only two hours sleep. I found I was already over 178,000th in the queue, with over an hour to wait. After about an hour, the wait time had dropped to 26 minutes and there seemed to be hope. Suddenly the queue was 'paused.' When it eventually started again, it showed the wait time back up to an hour - what happened to my 26 minutes?! When I was finally redirected to log in to the website, there was nothing available at all after 21 December.

I was booking for customers who Tesco have registered as 'priority' - they are vulnerable and unable to go to the shop or to click and collect. They are also longstanding loyal customers who have a weekly delivery year-round and pay for the Delivery Pass. It's a poor show from Tesco to set up their system where, reading on here, people have been able to join the queue before the advertised 6am, book more than one slot in Christmas week - and sometimes 'just in case', intending to cancel one or both - or bypass waiting and leapfrog everyone in the queue completely by booking on the app. When many of these lucky customers are new and could also go to the shop or click and collect, and loyal, vulnerable registered 'priority' customers have been left without, Tesco needs to look again at how they organise things.

Tesco should stop people booking more than one slot in Christmas week like they did in the lockdowns when you could only book one a week.

Spent 7 mins in the queue and got a click and collect for 23rd plus all my usual Sunday evening deliveries for the rest of December. Result!
