Friend is hijacking our weekend away with her Body Shop shite

In a fortnights time DH and I are going away with some other friends for a weekend away in a cottage. One of my friends has recently joined the Body shop cult at home and has been pushing it any excuse she gets.

She’s now suggested the girls in the group have a ‘pamper evening’ which basically just means her trying to sell to us. Of the 8 of us, 2 have already said ‘great idea can’t wait’ and another ive spoken to isn’t keen on the products but wants to support her. I don’t want to fall out over this but I really don’t want to waste a Saturday night when I don’t agree with MLM and hate what it’s doing to my friend!!

How to approach this tactfully?

We are en route back from the weekend. We did NOT escape body shop 😫 products left strategically scattered around and a few sales pitches but no ‘mandatory pamper party’. I managed to swerve most of it. It didn’t spoil the weekend as we all just enjoyed being together so much. I think she’ll be disappointed with her ‘sales’ though (and quite right too)

Did anyone mention to her that no one wanted the products she was selling and to have them under your nose (actually and aromatically too as they can really have quite a high perfume) was kind of rude of her? To actually call her out on it or was it politely the elephant in the room?

I'm sure there is a product that she sells that softens that hide to be soft as a babies bum! Not sure what it is but it's bound to be there

Just tell her your allergic to the stuff and she can have a night at her house for people who are interested when you are all home so as not to take a a whole night of your weekend away.

We have switched to bars of soap and bars of shampoo, palm free of course and prefer less clutter from plastic and no landfill!
