My God is this woman bloody tone deaf, stupid or such a narcissist that she really doesn’t care? Posting pics on Instagram of her and Alec dressed up for Halloween with their kids, with a little sob story about how “parenting through this has been intense.”
By all means let your kids celebrate Halloween but have some bloody sensitivity and awareness! Posting on social media, for the world to see, just days after your husband shot and killed a woman; a wife and mother.
Halyna’s son won’t be celebrating Halloween.

I didn't realise that was his wife! I assumed it was a journalist who was getting a bit too close. I thought that too until DH corrected me. What an utterly bizarre creature she is. I also agree that Alec looks completely on the edge but surely he must be able to tell her to rein it in for everyone's sake

Even in that interview she spoke English with a Spanish accent. Bonkers.

Oh, come off it. I tend to agree that her Instagram post was unnecessary and completely tone deaf. So I'm not going to argue with someone else who thinks the same as me, because there's nothing to argue about.

If AB had posted about his parenting struggles and 'dada heart' I would feel exactly the same way. It's a bit harder to criticise him though, because we don't even know if he agreed to HB plastering the photos all over Instagram.

Anyway, you'll notice I haven't actually objected to you defending HB. I've objected to you attacking the OP, because I think you're being unfair to describe her as 'trolling' and 'using' Halyna's death.

apparently she had apologised for being misleading about her heritage and for not explicitly declaring that she wasn't Spanish (Latina/Hispanic - whichever applies).

sidenote: I'm learning Spanish so last week I happened to be reading about "pause sounds" in Spanish and one poster (a while ago) said that because her fluent & almost flawless language skills, including using pause sounds well, has fooled native Spanish-speakers everywhere.
I think she got attention through that and rode the wave of lying by omission instead of coming clean.

weirdly enough, because then I proceeded to read about her, I saw these news ads flashes about Alec Baldwin and shooting someon. I thought it was a fake story clickbait so ignored it. 😳

Her spanish is very good. Possibly a lot of filler words though, aye, por dios. But she must have reasons for feeling so connected to spain. She is a bit strange but if men can identify as women who is she harming.

ManifestingWisdom to us as Europeans it may seem harmless but for many in the US she has effectively been doing what Rachel Doziel was accused of doing - appropriating the struggles of marginalized people such as immigrants from Mexico, for her own gain. She has talked about being treated differently because people think she is the nanny due to her accent. I laughed when I first found out she was pretending to be Spanish as it seemed as absurd as me pretending to be French but exploring the issue more it actually has very different and offensive connotations in the US.

What we are doing is saying she's insenstive, attention seeking and bonkers. Because she is.

I see what you're getting at but if they dont realise spain is in europe then that is not spain's fault. It is their mistake. They undrstand that England is not America. Same logic with Spain.

I think it's pretty awful to post gosh aren't me and my kids having Halloween fun a week after your husband has killed a mother.

I suspect Hilaria will be much more upset by the extensive media coverage that is slating her than a thread on a forum

@Cocolapew people who are in the public eye, even those who choose to be so through Instagram or whatever, are not fair game. Your attitude is very dangerous.

If my neighbour killed someone and his wife posted ‘poor me we are so brave look how sexy I am as a witch’ photos I would criticise her. See also - intertwined hands and how they are there for each other
