Some very interesting traffic heading to Scotland for Cop 26.

PRES101 from Aerolinas Argentinas appears to be about to land at Prestwick.

Private jet LNX29KG also en route to Glasgow.

They've closed the Erskine Bridge for "public safety" - everyone assumes it's to do with Rainbow Warrior but seems odd as it's a major route, especially as the tunnel is SO busy.

Very weird.

@Williamshatnershorses

They are fantastic *@CormoranStrike* - were you at Craigies by any chance?!
I was indeed - I wondered if any MNers were there too!
ReginaaPhalange · 01/11/2021 14:52

@Williamshatnershorses were you down at the lesser known beach at aberdour?

@CormoranStrike I was going to go there but thought it would be too busy🤦‍♀️. Craigie’s was my go to spot when the kids wanted to watch the planes!

I was at Cramond @ReginaaPhalange, my Aberdour spot would have been on the lay-by on the Burntisland road probably, nice and high up.

ReginaaPhalange · 01/11/2021 15:00

@Williamshatnershorses I haven't been to cramond in years! Ahh I miss living on the coast. I too was north side of the bridge!

cuttlefishgame · 01/11/2021 15:16

@CormoranStrike Awesome photos.

EffingElse · 01/11/2021 16:13

So I have now lost my life to Flightradar24 and ShipTracking 🤦‍♀️
It’s bloody fascinating!!!

Thank you

I run out into the garden when the ISS is going over (which obviously is quite regularly). I think if AF1 went over I would die with excitement! Grin

The police national plane (who knew?) is fair putting in a shift

Any flightradar 24 geeks?
YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 01/11/2021 17:34

There’s a US Dept of Justice flight just leaving the UK now (as in, flying over past Edinburgh).

KingsleyShacklebolt · 01/11/2021 17:34

And they keep coming... two more wee private jets on approach to Glasgow. Another just landing in Edinburgh.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 01/11/2021 17:34

It’s en route to Warsaw.

KingsleyShacklebolt · 01/11/2021 17:37

Honestly, this first day has been a nightmare. The boat sailing up the Clyde closed the Erskine Bridge, Biden's motorcade clogged up the M8, police everywhere, activists and crusties everywhere.

Cannot WAIT for it to be over to be honest. Hopefully once Biden et all fly off tomorrow night things will be less mad. Although the protests on Friday and Saturday will be a nightmare too.

cuttlefishgame · 01/11/2021 17:46

In my view, if any vessel should be in Glasgow right now, Rainbow Warrior is it.

Sexnotgender · 01/11/2021 17:47

That’s brilliant 😂

Following a discussion with the captain, the port authority changed its collective mind apparently. Grin

Nice two fingers up to the French, after what they did to the previous one.

Is that Airforce One?

Any flightradar 24 geeks?
BrennieGirl · 01/11/2021 19:02

Janet Yellen US Treasury Secretary was in Dublin today so maybe it was collecting her to bring her to Glasgow.
