Tesco app not working!

Anyone else trying to do a Tesco shop and the app isn't working!

I can't speak for the OP but 12 pints of milk (3 x 4 pint bottles) is our standard weekly milk order.

Tried to put my order on yesterday but switched across to Asda. Discovered that Adsa have also released their Xmas slots so got that booked too for 23rd Dec which was very handy. I am very rural so pay for delivery passes for both supermarkets so mix and match as needed.

Yep: 2 toddlers that guzzle milk! We still will need another 4 pints to see us through next weekend!
Glad we aren't the only ones 😂

And yes I told my husband to decline the whole order but he didn't 🤦🏻‍♀️ Tesco customer services are usually fairly good when I'm complained before about poor dates etc. I sometimes do think there is a flag next to our account 😳

But yes I'm also surprised this hasn't made bigger news. And something from Tesco too.... all very strange

I've just tried to delete whole order but no one at customer services can help and obviously website and app are not letting me in. My order has stuff we want but not all my veg and fruit as I do that last but never got round to it. Delivery is tomorrow but its been 24hrs plus already and no info from Tesco!

I have a delivery coming today. Have no idea what’s in it due to filling basket from an old order as a placeholder, have deleted the email confirming it and of course can’t check the website, so it’ll be a lucky dip.

Feel sorry for the drivers today. Going to be lots of pissed odd people.

I had less than 3 items in my basket to hold it and they automatically cancelled it last night (for delivery today) Think they understood it was a holding basket.
At first DH wondered if it was because they are short of drivers, but it's gone on so long now, and they must be losing so much money.....

Are people getting orders delivered today?
Just wondered as I read that they print the orders from the website and if it’s not working how will they print the orders?

We have about £75 in ours,so fingers crossed it arrives, thankfully I took the two litres (£50 worth) of Jameson's out on Thursday. Grin

Bought a litre a while ago, and that will last me a year or more, so three litre bottles would have possibly seen me to the grave. Grin

My shop just arrived. Delivered by a lovely, but frazzled young man who said an awful lot of deliveries have been for a handful of items, which were then returned.

Apparently staff on the ground are taking a lot of abuse, which is totally out of order.

This pisses me off about big companies. They can’t come up with a decent plan for keeping customers informed so it ends up being their front line staff who bear the brunt of frustrated customers. How hard is it to update Facebook and Twitter every couple of hours with a holding message?

(Of course customers are shitty too - the poor delivery drivers and shop staff have nothing to do with Tesco’s abysmal IT process or Customer Services procedures).

I imagine there is some sort of ransomware/denial of service attack going on. They will not be updating as they haven't a clue when things will be resolved.

I'm with beyondmywits I find it very strange that it's still not fixed after this long. Tesco are usually pretty good at keeping customers informed, but suspiciously quiet on this.

Working in IT you would be amazed at one change can take a system out for many hours. Been there many times. It's never fun being in the office when this happens but it's part of life.

They will have a backend to print out the orders. So that's still up it seems

I await with excitement my delivery of the 5 individual bananas I put in to hold my basket (I used to just put 1 in, but got sick of DH not checking and then just 1 banana arriving). Feel for the drivers today!

Things are slowly coming back now - I can access my basket for tomorrow but can’t search for or add anything. I imagine it’s going to be complicated by the fact that everyone’s going to be trying to access the system at once!

Have confirmed that I have my cider already added in so crisis averted. Wink
