I have an incredibly tough week coming up, where unfortunately huge work deadlines are going to collide with looking after my elderly mum, as well as having DD at home for half-term.

I'm trying to think of ANY shortcuts to get me through it. I'm doing my Tesco order later and would love your very best lazy meal ideas please. Things that you maybe wouldn't eat long term, but will get us through this patch. (I would just order ready meals for a few days, but I have to keep one eye on the salt levels due to blood pressure). Thanks in anticipation!

Surely you have Chicken diapers with annoyed haddocks and preached eggs!

Filled tortellini pasta (the fresh sort) with a fresh sauce. Whole thing only takes 5 mins max. My kids like the tomato and mascarpone sauce best.

@Deathraystare why didn't I think of that! Grin

This is my go-to CBA one.

One tin of Campbell’s condensed mushroom soup
One tin of tuna, drained and flaked
Freshly cooked pasta

Mix together undiluted soup and tuna and heat, then mix with the pasta.
Serve with frozen peas.

Or big jacket potatoes (14 mins in my combi microwave) with beans and grated cheese.

We are having a similar week this week.
So far it has been quiche that I bought with salad.
We have sausage sandwiches tonight with corn on cob.
I bought a ready mix of stir fry and a fresh sauce for tomorrow
Tacos using the quorn mince Thursday and veggie wraps on Friday. Saturday pizza. Sunday is ready made pie with chips.
Kids are so happy!

Boil spaghetti, then heat some oil and fry some garlic onions and if you like meat, Chorizo or something. Mix this into the spaghetti with either carbonara or sour cream and chive. Serve and season to taste.

Slow cooker Anything.

Omelette

Fajitas

Pizza and salad

Spaghetti bolognese (use a decent jar sauce)

Sausage and mash.

(Frozen mash is £1 a bag and can use as much as you need AND it doesn't taste any different because it's just potato mashed and frozen)

steam pack veg is 4 mins in the microwave. It's brilliant.
