What's for dinner tonight?

I'm completely stuck for ideas, it will be roast chicken tomorrow, we had pasta yesterday and I have literally no idea what to cook. Kids are fussy eaters so lasagne, or stews don't go down well. Had sausages on Wednesday and spaghetti Bol on Monday. Inspire me with your health delicious meal ideas!

Fried chicken thighs and cauliflower cheese. Followed by raspberries and double cream. I do clean keto.

Lasagne and chips and garlic bread. Huge carb loading as im keeping my friend company on her virtual London marathon tomorrow. Aiming for 18 miles, then another friend is completing it with her.

This sounds delicious. I just checked my fridge, and am going to attempt my imagined version for tomorrows dinner. Just the thing for this cold, damp weather.

We had homemade lasagne using pasta sheets made with Einkorn flour. It's an ancient wheat (found in the stomach of the Ice Man), and is more nutritious and more easily digestible than modern wheat. It has never been hybridized. I bang on about it to everyone I can. It's great for me because it doesn't raise blood sugar as much as modern wheat. I'm pre diabetic and haven't eaten pasta at all until I discovered this flour.
And the lasagne was good.

In the end, given the weather, we went with warm and comforting chicken soup with some lovely chunky bread and it allowed me to use my MN chicken which I have had on the go since 2003.

They look good!

My waitrose surprise for for tonight ended up being a Charlie Bigham lasagne with a side salad. The deli stuff looked a bit tired and nothing else really appealed. So not overly inspiring (although I have enjoyed the Charlie Bigham range before) but I could not think of anything else.

5BlackDoors · 03/10/2021 14:57

about 20 minutes after posting the above I decided I needed something else. So now it will be breaded lamb chops with dauph potatos and minted peas. Phew! Much better.

The lasagne can be for lunch tomorrow as I am wfh.
