Names that should come back

Inspired by the other thread, I was thinking today that Dawn is a name that is gentle and soothing - meaning and sound.

John, Peter and Paul - simple classic names.

Alan was on our list for DS, I think that's definitely due a comeback.

I love Lettice or Letty and it doesn't seem to have caught on in the same way as other 'granny' names have.

I love Gloria and also like Gail.

I met a 7year old Brian at the weekend which was unexpected but I quite liked it.

I was surprised by the reemergence of Zoe but think it will be a while until Chloe, Kirsty and Melanie come back.

Bernard is already back and has been for a while round here. Think the next popular ones will be Alan and Eric.

At my local McDonald's recently I saw some unique graffiti a teenager had left: 'Phyllis'. So there is at least one teenager named Phyllis about (either that, or a very adventurous old lady has gone wild with a can of spray paint).

There's a Chloe in reception at DSs school. And one left last year too

Bernadette is fabulous and so is Colette.
