I'm just on Channel 4. Almost exhausted already at their pace and power. Come on Emma.

Prime app fine for me and I only just started to watch it. Not sure I can cope with the tension though, and it might be a long match if every game (or every other game) is like that one!

I had stopped watching women’s tennis because I found all the grunting and squealing too annoying. Neither of these are doing that!

Same. When they make a noise it’s genuine exertion rather than gamesmanship (or whatever the purpose of all the noise was)

Watching here too. Was slightly worried as there was no sound at the start of the dh C4 coverage, but all good.
Emma seems to be in a better place already than she was at Wimbledon. I was heartbroken for her having to pull out.
It is most odd not having lines people on this court though. Not liking the squeaking so much either. Give me the calming greens any day.

Do they have hawk-eye?
They have Hawkeye Live electronic line calling, so no line judges, just Hawkeye calling balls out live (rather than just being used when a player challenges a call).

@ElizabethTudor it's all electronic yep, the out call is a recording of a person! Mad!
I kind of miss the challenge even though it must be the correct call.

I think the added pressure of 9/11 remembrance can't help esp as it's written on the ground facing the players.

CH4 HD is a much clearer picture than Prime.

I miss the human element of the line judges, even though I’m sure the technology is more accurate. And the is it in / is it not element of the challenge.

Oh yes I forgot about all the sound effects that came with the other female players. Sometimes I think it was put on to distract the other player. Blooming unnecessary, sometimes it sounded like someone was in labour or having bad sex. Annoying.
