I know it's not October yet, but the Christmas forum has been active for months. So I reckon we're allowed Grin

I always find that focusing on Halloween is a good way to deal with the "it's not summer anymore" blues.

I'm not sure what I'm doing this year, we've moved over the summer. Where we used to live quite a few houses on the road get decorated and encourage trick or treaters. So it will be interesting to see if my new neighbours join in or if we'll be the only house with pumpkins outside.

So I need to try and find some events for the kids to go to, just in case. I also won't have my sewing machine set up in time to make costumes this year.

So what is everyone else planning? Are you decorating your house regardless? Are you going anywhere special? Do you have costume plans yet?

I am going to stuff some stripy tights, put some shoes on the end and stick the legs out of the big bush in the front garden. Will make a broomstick to stick in the bush too so it looks like a witch flew in there and got stuck. Will cut some bats out of black paper and stick them up and put up coloured lights etc. We go quite tame as lots of young kids round here. Love Halloween!

My two like dressing in Harry Potter robes, I might myself some robes this year too!

I am going to find a pumpkin this weekend. If I can, I will try to find a costume. I like the idea of a Halloween party with sausage rolls, pumpkin pie, and the works.

Having a full on adult Halloween party this year as last one got cancelled due to covid. Planning on having dooking, (apple bobbing here in Scotland), and possibly a guess the horror film quiz - I'm thinking of setting up small scenes around the house and garden eg, fava beans and chianti (Silence of the Lambs) and getting guests to fill in an answer sheet for a prize.
Will think of some other ideas too, mainly just an excuse to eat loads, get drunk and laugh at each others costumes.
I'll post a pic of the graveyard once set up. Have bought a lifesize skeleton to sit under my tree so hopefully he won't get stolen!

I already have some Halloween decor out in my house, havent started my outside yet though. I'm wanting a huge spider web on the front of my house with a large spider in my garden. I had a large cauldron on my door step full of sweets last year and a tub of hand gel, neither got used :(

Got some really nice white pumpkin ornaments from the range today.
I fail to make a pretty gingerbread house for Christmas every year, they always look so messy. So this year I'm going to make a haunted gingerbread mansion.
Also changed my plans as its the 25th anniversary for Scream this Halloween! Its one of my all time favourite scary movies I had to book tickets, I can't wait 🎃

My countdown to Halloween sign is up on the front fence Halloween Grin unfortunately the number stickers I ordered from etsy were half the size I thought (didn't look at the measurements!) so you have to look really closely to see how many days Halloween Wink

Well my Lidl is a bit rubbish although they did have Halloween succulents for£3.99 which I might pop and get tomorrow, had a black pot and orange tinged leaves. I've just changed all the batteries on the lights ready for tonight, my little glass of wine and Taskmaster. Can't wait!

DD announced this morning that she wants a dress with pumpkins on it for an early Halloween party next week. So that's loads of notice 😱

Got to go and pick up the Halloween decorations that I stored at my dad's while we moved house, the kids are impatient to start putting them up

We finished our Halloween decorations this weekend. Already had someone knock on the door to compliment it! Just need a ton of pumpkins now. We've got a trip to the pumpkin patch coming up so we'll fill a wheelbarrow full of weird and wonderful and that'll be us done!

I'd like to do some spooky cocktails for the adults at the party this year.
