Need a name for my floristry business - help!

Hi all,

I would really, really appreciate any ideas - I’m taking a punt at starting a floristry business. Any potential business name ideas would be so welcome.

Think what people would Google to find you and work backwards. Then think about whether there's an existing business with the name (e.g if you live in Mirrorton, is there already a Mirrorton Flowers or Mirrorton Florists) and check on companies house if there's a limited company registered with the name already.

Consider whether you plan to always operate in your area or whether you plan to always operate independently / franchise / establish yourself in other areas. If the former, a localised name will always be great. If the latter(s) you might want a less localised name.

Eek I think all of these are really twee especially the puns!
There's one near me that's called Bloom of the Block which is nice.

I'd just go for Bloom or Earth, or the name of a weird/interesting/very old flower or medicinal plant like Violet or Myrtle . Or a line from a poem - 'the crimson petal' for eg.

Shakespeare has lots of flower mentions - 'the forward violet' would be amazing but lots more here.

And I agree with the most recent PP, pun names don't sound premium so if you want to sound premium then don't be tempted to have a 'funny' pun name. Think about marketing - what will people proactively look up to find you? If you have a name that takes that into account, you've already got some free, organic marketing under your belt!

I haven't checked but I bet Flower Power has made the list
along with Forget - me - Nots and In Bloom.
You could go with Kate Surname - Floral Design
Or something like A Petal Storm or Wildflower.
Day of the Triffids or Feed Me Seymour! are tenuous but jokey.

Yeah, Flowers by Kate is my favourite so far.
