It's the lady from the chutney threads. I read all her threads and kept up with her son being born and all the other things that happened and I often think of her and wonder if she's ok. He must be at least 8 by now

OP posts:
FizziWater · 23/08/2021 13:55

I saw Getorf mentioned, I used to love her threads. I remember her being holed up in an Egyptian hotel with food poisoning.
MaryZ - what happened to her?

cervixuser · 23/08/2021 14:00

@weegiemum

I know expatinscotland irl and she's doing ok.
thank you - please tell her people think of her
cervixuser · 23/08/2021 14:01

I think Maryz got the ban hammer

Thank you - that's good to know.

@GreatestShowman

In the earlier days of covid a lady posted to ask whether she'd be unreasonable going to A&E as she'd been having some worrying symptoms for a while, I don't remember her username unfortunately but it turned out she had an aggressive type of cancer. Does anybody know who I mean and how she is? I've thought about her alot.
She's well- it was worried about having lost a lot a weight and that the HCP would dismiss it as Covid Anxiety iirc. She's around on other threads.
WTF475878237NC · 23/08/2021 14:05

And Biscuitsandbandages who sadly died, falling ill not long after giving birth to her DD. Such tough times they had as a family, and always seemed so unfair that she was a GP, and spent her life helping others.

^ This was absolutely heartbreaking.

WTF475878237NC · 23/08/2021 14:07

Baby was 8 weeks I think when biscuits was diagnosed after a sudden trip to OOH with pains.

Starjammer · 23/08/2021 14:10

@Chocolatebuttercream

There was a poster called physicskate who used to post in the infertility boards when I was doing the same. One day she vanished and I often wonder if she had a happy outcome.
I remember her. I believe she did have a DC :)
ThatLibraryMiss · 23/08/2021 14:11

@opaleyes2

There was a lady who had an abusive ex who was alienating hers sons against her to the point she considered a termination of her baby with the new DP. Last I saw there was a custody battle in Court and it was costing thousands. I wonder whether she got the outcome she hoped for.
If she was 100% truthful her story was dreadful.

If.

OTOH, what her ex's new wife posted in a different thread was quite believable too, and painted a very different picture.

newmum0604 · 23/08/2021 14:17

@Chocolatebuttercream I could be thinking of the wrong person here but I think I saw @physicskate posting on the pregnancy boards earlier this year about being due her second baby Smile

PegasusReturns · 23/08/2021 14:23

So many posters whose contributions I miss: MorningPaper, TSC, Dittany, MaryZ.

Two posters that really stick in my mind are the Welsh woman whose husband killed himself and sometime later she started a relationship with a friend of his. I hope she found happiness.

Another was a poster by the name of desolate. Had a long running thread about being dumped by their DP. She wouldn’t leave his home and posters were encouraging her in all sorts of nonsense when she’d have done so much better if she’d been encouraged to lick her wounds and move on. Im not convinced she was for real but if she was I hope she is living a better life now.

Itsanothernamechange · 23/08/2021 14:29

One poster I sometimes wonder about is EatShitDerek. She used to post so regularly. Last I remember she was pregnant. This would be a far few years back though

Loveatthe5anddime · 23/08/2021 14:29

One lady I alway think about was someone that had their children removed by SS services due to the baby having a split lip injury from falling from a bed...

She came across as someone who was very articulate and switched on and was insistent that both herself and husband were great parents and it was just an accident though couldn’t explain the extent of the injury...

It stayed with me and I always wonder if she got her children back.

QuimReaper · 23/08/2021 14:32

I knew this would be about the Chutney poster before I clicked on it! Smile As a PP has said she popped up on one of these threads a few years ago (Lou something?) and reported that she and her son were well and happy.

A poster I often think about is a woman who had a really fucked-up family who kept loading her house with crap to the point she could hardly move, and had frightened the daylights out of her, creating a weird dynamic where she wasn't allowed to get rid of any of it. She couldn't even access her own bed without climbing in from the foot. It was a frustrating thread because I couldn't understand why she couldn't stand up to them but felt so sorry for her. I hope she got out from under them in the end.

Worried234 · 23/08/2021 14:32

I think of TrinityRhino a lot.. she was lovely, and had such a hard time in life. I hope she's OK.

That was mamateetee

I see her around, she's fine.

NutellaEllaElla · 23/08/2021 14:43

Another person who misses Dittany and hopes that she is well.

queenrollo · 23/08/2021 14:44

Worried234 I was just about to post about Trinity Rhino....

Others posting about Misdee and to this day the phrase 'Peter is Pink!' still pops into my head.

@VeryLongBeeeeep I am an old BESH too and those threads and the wonderfully witty ladies on there got me through such a tough time. I too have an 8 year old so must have been around the same time as @ThePontiacBandit (I wonder if you are one of the few I am in touch with in real life?)

I often wonder about SolidGoldBrass - I always loved her no nonsense approach to giving advice.

dottydodah · 23/08/2021 14:45

romdowa Yes ! I remember the Duck lady very well.Lovely updates (come back please we miss you!)

Wasent that on netmums? If not there was a very similar long running thread on netmums about a baby sustaining a very similar unusual injury and children being removed.

The problem with that poster is, that she name changes frequently, and also changes details and gives half a story.
PegasusReturns · 23/08/2021 15:01

@gardeninggirl68 I’m pleased.

She sounded like she deserved some happiness.

BiddyPop · 23/08/2021 15:11

CatThiefKeith (but I knew she had passed away).

WellWhoKnew (she quit MN at some stage but had been very strong leaving her H and supporting others as well)

TheFormidableMrsC (I think) who's H moved in with another widow and abandoned their SN DS

There was another poster in Scotland who's DD passed away from cancer after a long fight

And another mother dealing with her DS's illness (and death) despite the strong interference of her ILs who were making it all about them.

Was this the lady who posted about writing letters for her daughter? Literally broke my heart.
