It's the lady from the chutney threads. I read all her threads and kept up with her son being born and all the other things that happened and I often think of her and wonder if she's ok. He must be at least 8 by now

OP posts:
@nettie434 I was one of the witnesses. The bride, and both witnesses all doing well. It was a great day, very happy memories.
Oh how lovely! You can tell from the way that it stuck in my mind that I thought it was such a romantic and uplifting occasion. It's good that everything is still going well for you all.

AtillatheHun · 24/08/2021 11:26

I wonder how RoxaneMonke of the private investigator is. She was so brilliantly controlled and dignified in the face of her husband screwing around. A model of grace under pressure. Hope she’s having a bloody great time.

Truffkin · 24/08/2021 13:55

Another BESH / PESH / CRESH here, from 2009/10 ish and I’ve not posted for eons! There were some epic ESH threads and the group was a brilliant support at a tough time when TTC.

idsisatwat · 24/08/2021 14:07

I wonder if MrsKoala is ok. I remember so many of her threads; from the one where she was stuck in hospital when having her second child and CatThiefKeith came to visit her. To her having her daughter and struggling with a new baby and two very active toddlers and the FIL being there too? I think

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 24/08/2021 14:23

I remember MrsKoala too. I hope she's ok now.

I think Soupdragon is still here and posting under that name, but maybe I've just seen her on some zombie threads recently.

ApplesAreTheBaneOfMyLife · 24/08/2021 14:57

Cod is still here quite often with various other non-fishy names and normal spelling.

Odisia · 24/08/2021 15:08

Also MrsKoala. Although she always seemed to have her hands full I found her threads about her family life and issues so interesting. I always thought I'd rather like her as a friend in real life.

@cervixuser

expatinscotland is someone I think about - on Saturday night Call Me Maybe popped up in my Spotify and it reminded me of her and her beautiful daughter. I also think about Hully and Pagwatch and wish they were still here dispensing fun
Call me Maybe still makes me well up when I hear it. So much love and loss. I hope expat is OK.
OverweightPidgeon · 24/08/2021 18:12

Maryz was always lovely and Vicarinatutu gave out good advice, are they still about I wonder?

everythingcrossed · 24/08/2021 18:17

I remember a few years ago, a woman who lived in the Channel Islands and who was a single mum. She had had a whirlwind romance and married someone, become pregnant straight away and, a few months down the line, found him googling "late term abortions". She had the baby alone and seemed to be coping just fine but then got back with him and became pregnant again - it was very sad, she had been ok on her own but he seemed to have some sort of power over her and she wanted the happy-ever-after. I don't think she was a troll - she gave enough details to make herself very easy to identify.

AlphabetAerobics · 24/08/2021 18:37

@TheBuggerlugs were you not married to The Ginger Pig?

Tictocrobot · 24/08/2021 18:38

This seems a bit frivolous after all the other posts, but one of the first threads I got really invested in was the woman who came home after a week away to find her neighbours had put in an actual doorway from their house into her garden. I always wondered what happened in the end. Her username pops into my head every now and then but I can’t remember it now.

Wardrobes123 · 24/08/2021 19:05

I found this thread active and just thought I’d update (if anyone is interested).

DH did improve - he has recovered from covid but there are a lot of long term issues - he’s back on dialysis now with end stage renal failure. He has muscle wastage caused by long term ICU which causes walking/mobility issues. He also is still doesn’t have normal dialysis access, so it’s a bit complicated, and he’s on long term warfarin due to blood clotting problems caused by covid.

However he did come home! Its been an adjustment for everyone. Unfortunately the children weren’t unscathed - both didn’t do very well at the end of their school years but we’re taking small steps forward.

We also have managed to squeeze in some celebrations which has been lovely. We’ve also all been double jabbed and hope that there will be some top ups as we head into winter.

My mum was brilliant as were a couple of friends. I was also grateful for MN. I got a lot of support and it was nice to be able to talk to people at all funny hours of the day and night.

I have been busy working full time now, so I’ve been unable to post, but I will forever be grateful for the hand holding during an immensely difficult time ❤️

I always wonder about CoatsProtectionLeague who was planning to leave her husband in great detail and what happened to her, she just went poof!

Alwaystired122 · 24/08/2021 19:26

I still think about the lady who's husband was in a serious road accident and she found out he had been cheating while at his hospital bedside because of something on his iPad. I think she lived in Scotland. I often wonder how it all turned out for her. Must be about 6 years old now

SunshineCake · 24/08/2021 19:27

Thank you for posting @Wardrobes123. So many of us very much are interested and you can see how many posters still think of you and your family Flowers.

GinPin2 · 24/08/2021 19:34

What a wonderful lady, does anyone know the county that Emin was working for as a foster carer? I don't supposed that she divulged that information?

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 24/08/2021 19:36

I loved Buppers, Pinot, Hully, Pags, scottishmummy, Mrs Devere, the beautiful, beautiful Billie and Carrot the budgie. Delighted to see Pinot on here the other day. Felt like a warm hug. And this is going to annoy me for days but does anyone remember a lovely poster called Stratters? She lived in Lincolnshire, I think she had a Jack Russell, she was so lovely. She just disappeared one day Sad

So many more, I vaguely remember Beesimo (sp) Mitmoo but can’t remember why - poss controversial for some reason but for the life of me I can’t work it out Grin

FabbyChic I adored, told it as it was, but once or twice I did worry if she was okay, as her posts got a bit, well a bit. I don’t want to say what I thought at the time, but I worried. Hope you are okay Fabby.

MsIreneWinters · 24/08/2021 19:36

There was a poster called something like intheduskwiththelightbehindher. Her husband was having an affair pretty much in front of her and she was too nervous to tackle it as she was afraid he would leave. I think about her sometimes as she was so sad and stuck. I hope she kicked him into touch and is happy now!

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 24/08/2021 19:39

Ooh and GabbyLoggon? I think that was another slightly controversial one. Why these names stick in my bonce is beyond me.

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 24/08/2021 19:43

@DerAlteMann I think you are asking after the truly lovely @dementedma
