What food is like crack to you?

I recently discovered Halo ice cream and was delighted by how delicious it is whilst still being pretty low calorie. The problem is that it’s so delicious I can’t eat a normal portion size. I thought I’d give moderation another go tonight but nope, I’ve just eaten nearly a whole tub of Gooey Chocolate Brownie. Totally defeats the object. The peanut butter one is the worst (best).

@Floralnomad

Decent prawns , eat them everyday ( can’t abide halo ice cream it tastes really artificial to me )
Weirdly, I agree that it tastes artificial. So why oh why can’t I stop eating it??

Red skin peanuts

M&S prawn mayo sandwich. Probably because I can't get one unless I fly for 9 hours. Especially frustrating as Canada is still on the amber list. Aargh.

@EvilPea that's a local word for local people Grin

All manner of savory snacks do it for me - crisps, nuts and snyders jalapeno pretzel pieces. Can also succumb to several hobnobs.

TuckMyWin · 19/08/2021 21:47

Jelly babies.
Pringles.
Jaffa cakes.

eandz13 · 19/08/2021 21:47

Proper, crispy, home made roast potatoes. I don't care how painfully bloated I am, I can fit 7 more in.

Brie on crackers with salted butter. It's hard not just to have one more.. and another after that.

thenightsky · 19/08/2021 21:48

Pringles. The ones in the green tube.

Iamthewombat · 19/08/2021 21:48

@MirandaMarple

Orange warbies and salted butter.
I need to know what a warbie is now.

@KateTheEighth

Wotsits (dh and I call them crack - "fancy some crack with your glass of wine?")

For me it's also the local farm shop bread with thick thick lurpak. I could live on that alone.

@KateTheEighth if you love wotsits you would LOVE M&S cheese tasters, they are way better that wotsits.

FreeBritnee · 19/08/2021 21:48

Pringles.

Moonwatcher1234 · 19/08/2021 21:49

How long have you got? Wotsits, pickled onion monster munch, flipz chocolate covered pretzels, cornflake clusters, crumpets. The good news is they I feel the same way about strawberries.

FreeBritnee · 19/08/2021 21:49

Crackers and cheese. Salted nuts.

MegaClutterSlut · 19/08/2021 21:49

Cadburys fingers, hardly buy them anymore as I have no self control

LactoseTheIntolerant · 19/08/2021 21:50

Chunky kitkat, when there's only one left in the cupboard I literally guard it with my life!

MissyB1 · 19/08/2021 21:51

Ginger sponge pudding (on the menu at a pub near us) with custard. Very gingery and sends me to my happy place.

1990b · 19/08/2021 21:51

Fresh bread with lurpack butter

Milk chocolate - twirl is my absolute favourite

Twiglets, Walkers Pickled Onion

Any salty crisps or with vinegar

Doughnuts

I have to eat the all of it once its opened, struggle to control myself once the seal, plastic has been opened.

DukeOfEarlGrey · 19/08/2021 21:51

Don’t bother with the Ocado offerings. You need to go to a supermarket with an in-store bakery. Get good butter. Prepare to eat the whole loaf

Right-o. And whilst I’m there I now have a list:

Tiger bread + good butter

Peanut butter, Nutella

Salted caramel M&Ms (@Whenitsjustyourclockreading505 you ARE that friend)

Cinnamon churro shapes

Alll the crisps

Returnoftheowl · 19/08/2021 21:52

Cinnamon swirls

Bearsbearsbears40 · 19/08/2021 21:52

Sainsbury’s own chocolate spread on plastic white bread. Also, rocky road mixture while the chocolate is still warm before it goes in the fridge.

So, chocolate really…

KateTheEighth · 19/08/2021 21:53

@Whenitsjustyourclockreading505

Oh yes! I bought those and they were sublime. I think they only come in larger packs so I stopped buying them because I could eat them all. Every last salty orangey one.

atleastitswarm · 19/08/2021 21:53

@Cocolapew

Cheese and Onion square crisps.
Snap!!!! If I buy the multipack with mixed flavours in I’ve scoffed the two cheese and onion ones within 10 mins and then I’m sad Sad
