Moving from Scotland to England-Differences.

I'm planning a move from Scotland to England in the next year. Still finalising area now that I have it narrowed down. I know that it isn't like moving abroad but there are still some differences including water charges and prescription charges.

I know that every place is different but if you've made the move from Scotland to England.Or vice versa. What differences did you notice. Practical or cultural? And what did you miss? Morning rolls for me.

TIA

No one will understand when you say ‘the back of’ to describe a time. 30 years with DH, not a clue.

DHs family think the English hate the Scots. Not even slightly true. DH has never had any issues (30 years in the north). However I’ve experienced lots of anti-English resentment from older members of his family. Younger ones are different.

DHs auntie (who has been to England) once told me England was awful and there were no pubs. Which stands out as one of the weirdest things anyone has ever said to me.

People are much more polite. Men don’t treat women like second class citizens in general really? 🤣🤣 in England?
Think you got that the wrong way round 🤣
