Looking for recommendations for best vegetarian sausages and burgers please. Some taste like cardboard!

M&s posh dogs.

Baboutheocelot · 18/07/2021 10:57

I like naked glory and meatless farm.

Queenoftheashes · 18/07/2021 11:00

Beyond meat burgers are the bomb.
Sausages - Richmond, M&S chorizo puppies
Linda McCartney original ones
Coop stuff is nice

Richmond vegan sausages. My daughter refuses to eat pork ones now, and will ask for these instead. Cauldron ones are nice too.

jonhammsmistress · 18/07/2021 11:02

Beyond meat burger, is the best vegan burger out there. Pricy but a game changer. They have researched and mimicked the texture of beef.

When not feeling flush, have LMs quarter pounders stocked in the freezer. Pretty good.

For sausages would recommend cauldrons (fresh not frozen) Lincolnshire sausages. Veggie as opposed o vegan, but closest I have found to a premium sausage.

Agree with others on Richmonds, totally goot for that cheap sausage taste. Perfectly fine for a sausage sandwich or similar.

Pepperlypue · 18/07/2021 11:06

Stay away from Richmond they're awful.

Linda McCartney mozzarella burgers & Cumberland sausages are the best, quorn are alright (their nuggets and escalopes are amazing)

Elmo230885 · 18/07/2021 11:06

Personally I like Quorn sausages and the Birdseye Plant based burgers ( the ones with the vampire advert ). They would be my choice if I could only choose one.

The Linda McCartney pulled pork burgers are also nice but I'm not a fan of the texture of their sausages.

I can't stand Cauldron!

It all boils down to personal choice really.

Cumberland sausages are lovely and the last two years M&S have done the best bettroot burgers. They are amazing! But only come out in the summertime

Ghosttile · 18/07/2021 11:10

Linda McCartney sausages
Tivall vegetarian burgers

I meant the cauldron sausages that are Cumberland!
Northernsoullover · 18/07/2021 11:10

Linda mcartney rosemary and red onion sausages are lovely but the burgers gave me an awful stomach ache and runs.

thenightsky · 18/07/2021 11:11

Best veggie burgers ever are Beyond Burgers. I've not tried their sausages though.

Worst are Richmond. I had to bin them after one bite. Nasty greasy things with a weird cling film type skin.

BillyRaywasapreachersson · 18/07/2021 11:12

Going completely against the grain, I tried the Richmond ones last night for the first time on the advice of MN and I thought they were grim. Strange taste and the texture was a bit too close to meat for my liking. Linda McCartney plain ones are ok.

thesunwillout · 18/07/2021 11:13

Linda McCartney mozzarella ones. Bit of substance.

Also the rosemary sausages in that range.

I used to like the meat free Quorn burgers but they taste like fish now for some reason.

wheresmyhairytoe · 18/07/2021 11:14

We love the Tesco Plant Chef burgers and sausages.

DH and DS like the Richmond sausages but no good for me as need gluten Free too.

thesunwillout · 18/07/2021 11:14

Agree that the Richmond ones taste like cheap pork sausages.

Unexpectedbaby · 18/07/2021 11:20

Richmond for sausages.

For burger Beyond Meat are quite realistic but not cheap. Alternatively I like Taste and Glory

lastqueenofscotland · 18/07/2021 11:21

Lind McCartney burgers are nice, sausages are absolute hangin
Richmond sausages for something trashy, shroomdogs for something nice!

grey12 · 18/07/2021 11:28

We get some from Asda but they're more like a vegetable burger rather than a meat alternative

JollyAndBright · 18/07/2021 11:29

Beyond meat burgers and sausages are incredible.
You can get them at Tesco.

inappropriateraspberry · 18/07/2021 11:30

Are you looking for stuff that tastes meaty, or just an alternative in the same shape?
For 'meaty' sausages - def Richmond. I also like Tesco's frozen veggie burgers - they don't seem to dry out like some.

PattyPan · 18/07/2021 11:31

Richmond sausages or the original or chorizo style Linda McCartney ones.

Linda McCartney quarter pounders. Putting some of these on the bbq later! They are much chunkier than other veggie burgers, very satisfying.

inappropriateraspberry · 18/07/2021 11:32

Meatless Farm or Beyond Meat also do a good range of veggie burgers etc.
I find Quorn and Linda McCartney stuff quite dry.

Sp1ke3 · 18/07/2021 11:36

We were Linda McCartney but have now converted to Aldi. They have a really good range of vege stuff

WeRTheOnesWeHaveBeenWaitingFor · 18/07/2021 11:37

Cauldron sausages
Linda McCartney pulled pork burgers
