Everyone thinks Piers is a nasty piece of work who is unbelievably fortunate to still have a career after the phone hacking scandal. How that happened I have no idea.

I worked alongside her mum years ago- genuinely one of the nicest people you could meet. Emma has been amazing and I hope she is fully protected from the vipers of the media to enable her to build on her undeniable talent!
As for Piers Morgan, a professional journalist who couldn’t handle questions from his colleague- shut the fuck up. And yes I’m sure he will call us all “woke” for disagreeing with his rhetoric!

So impressed with her tennis and her honesty and acceptance of the whole thing. Would have been easy to hide away or to make a load of excuses but the way she’s talked about it and moved on is great.

I can understand why PM feels so threatened. She's young, beautiful, talented, engaging, clearly intelligent, knows who she is and isn't prepared to assertively advocate for her needs. Such a contrast. . .

She is incredible. I can’t call the final though, both Emma and Leylah have had very similar routes through the tournament, knocking out much higher ranked players.

I understand that there's a lot of pressure and if course it won't be for everyone, but if there wasn't pressure and media and public interest, there wouldn't be any money in it. It's one of those things you need to deal with if you're going to succeed. At the highest level in any sport it's not enough to "just" be good at the sport.
