Matt Hancock's DM 'sad face'

Woke up this morning to this. It's the saddest sad face photo I've ever seen. He has been publicly disgraced and humiliated, his marriage appears to be over and yet he can't even look sad convincingly!

I think the video was staged. He wanted to get out

It’s a bit elaborate. He could have just resigned if he wanted to get out.
BiscoffAddict · 27/06/2021 16:48

@TillyTopper

You're right OP, he doesn't look sad at all. However, I do think there are 2 sides to every story and most of us will have no idea how his wife behaves, although the video of her on The Telegraph screaming "open the door you little bitch" didn't put her in a good light. I feel sorry for the kids in both families though - just so awful for them.
What when did this happen?! I can’t find it anywhere?!

Matt?

Not still lying are you?

Tinpotspectator · 27/06/2021 17:46

Tillytopper you have invented that, haven't you? Why?

GCAcademic · 27/06/2021 18:33

@TillyTopper

What video in the Telegraph?

user1471462428 · 27/06/2021 20:13

Lock him up. Fucking crooked wanker.

PeterPickledPepper · 27/06/2021 21:23

Someone in Her Madge's opposition needs to start pressing Johnson on clearing the Augean Stables; should be right up his Classical street.

the80sweregreat · 28/06/2021 06:40

It is a ' Matt life crisis'
Still waiting to see the pics of him in a new sports car..

Velvian · 28/06/2021 07:00

The crying on TV is one of the most embarrassing things I have ever seen. He is spectatularly insincere.

AiryFairy1 · 28/06/2021 07:09

@ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba I was wondering that too!

TheoMeo · 28/06/2021 07:16

feigned contrition
my shoe is a better actor than he is.
God, he thinks he's so fucking clever.

Just what I was thinking.

LittleDidSheKnow · 28/06/2021 07:32

He is so utterly repulsive, in every way.

MerryMarigold · 28/06/2021 07:55

"It’s a bit elaborate. He could have just resigned if he wanted to get out."

Ahh, but this way he leaves because someone gorgeous had insatiable lust for him, rather than because he was fired for being incompetent and causing the deaths of thousands. What would you choose?

MerryMarigold · 28/06/2021 07:55

If he'd resigned without this it would be an admission of responsibility. Is it likely?

Youdiditanyway · 28/06/2021 09:54

He’s a smug fucker. He hired her so he could fuck her more often and get away with it, basically. Isn’t bothered about being caught out, it’s just given him the push to leave his wife and be with the OW full time. I hope they both end up lonely in their old age. Twats.

Jasmine11 · 28/06/2021 10:20

Things have worked out very well for Hancock - he was clearly being set up as the fall guy for the government's pandemic failures, but now BJ will have to shoulder it all himself by the time the enquiry happens. I feel very sad for the betrayed spouses and the children involved, but anything that makes life more difficult for BJ cannot be entirely thought of as a bad thing.

Kinsters · 28/06/2021 10:23

No way did he stage the video - it's soooo cringey. Boak boak boak. I think if it were his doing he'd have left his wife in advance and only leaked a picture. I agree he'll come out of this totally fine. I just hope his wife gets her share of the millions he'll make out of politics. Disgusting man.

pointythings · 28/06/2021 10:59

And the pathetic people of West Suffolk will vote for him again at the next GE because hey, pig in a blue rosette (he's my MP).

Unlikely. They’re absolutely livid, like steaming. His constituency party is actively looking at deselecting him. This part of the country is rapidly moving away from true blue now. Here in the next county we now have a Labour mayor - where blue votes are usually weighed. It’s surreal.
MrsToothyBitch · 28/06/2021 11:23

I am also intrigued as to who leaked it and why. He looks about as truly sorry as a labrador caught with it's nose in a cake.

I feel incredibly sorry for the left behind spouses and DC... although I also have a feeling that if possible, GC might decide to save her marriage after all if she can. It feels like a moment of weakness on her part and the culmination of a far-too-over invested crush on his. His poor wife.

BarefootHippieChick · 28/06/2021 11:37
@PegasusReturns I agree his fuckbuddy will drop him like a hot brick now he's actually available.
Completely agree too. What will happen with her kids? Will she be happy for them to stay with dad while she only gets weekend access? Can't see MH enjoying his new love nest with her 3 kids in tow.

pointythings · 28/06/2021 11:53

Blossomtoes I hope you're right. I do know that the people polled in Newmarket weren't impressed. But there's so many small very Tory, very Brexity towns in this patch (I live in one). I don't hold out much hope for this place ever being anything but Tory.

TheoMeo · 28/06/2021 13:11

I think she may have staged it - standing back with her hands behind her back, odd. Is there information about contracts to her brother or employment contracts to her that she might have reason to try to keep quiet. Getting him sacked might have seemed a way to avoid that coming out.

Blossomtoes · 28/06/2021 13:19

I think we may live in very similar places - I’m in Major’s old constituency. I think this has incensed his constituency party so much because it’s very old fashioned Tory in its values and Hancock’s behaviour - lying, adultery, refusal to apologise properly, lack of any real contrition - is completely out of line with those. They also realise that he’s now an electoral liability at a point when the blue wall is weakening. We’ll see.
