Matt Hancock's DM 'sad face'

Woke up this morning to this. It's the saddest sad face photo I've ever seen. He has been publicly disgraced and humiliated, his marriage appears to be over and yet he can't even look sad convincingly!

I don’t. She’s well rid. I hope she takes him to the cleaners and finds herself a much younger, better looking (not difficult) partner. Who in their right mind would want to be stuck with that sleaze bag?

He is criminally negligent and a hypocrite. I hope he loses his seat. Like another poster said he wont be such a catch without a powerful job and having the children every other weekend and the other realities of life. Being smug trips you up in the end.

He'll be calling in favours from those rich individuals who he directly benefited by handing out contracts to them during the pandemic. I doubt he'll even want to contest his seat at the next election; he'll be on to significantly more lucrative things than being an MP. I doubt he'll be experiencing karma any time soon, I'm afraid.

@GCAcademic is absolutely correct. At the moment this is his best possible scenario. He gets to leave his job because of the affair meaning the likely return will be much sooner.

I suspect however the fly in the ointment is that the OW will be back pedalling frantically and I predict she’ll be back home with her DH and DC by end of year leaving MH to shack up with a twenty something love island contestant.

I don't think he has the capacity to feel shame. He has failed as a Health Minister, he has lied, cheated and abused to system to make millions for his mates. He is directly responsible for deaths in care homes. He has made a mockery of the very rules he introduced and he clearly doesn't even care.

And still Boris Johnson didn't fire him. Apparently because he made his insincere apology its all good.

Tbh though the whole story isn't about his affair for me. Its about who went to those lengths to get that footage and why?

Because its not because he was a 'loverat'. Someone wanted him gone and went out of their way to achieve it.

Apparently he will get £16,000 severance pay from the taxpayer as well. I am sure that will help with setting up the love nest with his new woman.

There really is no such thing as karma, is there? All I see these days is awful behaviour being rewarded.

You're right OP, he doesn't look sad at all. However, I do think there are 2 sides to every story and most of us will have no idea how his wife behaves, although the video of her on The Telegraph screaming "open the door you little bitch" didn't put her in a good light. I feel sorry for the kids in both families though - just so awful for them.
