Javid wasn't sacked. Cummings wanted to sack people at the Treasury (I think it was civil servants but I'm not sure) and Javid resigned in protest. I'm no fan of the Tories but I remember thinking at the time that he'd acted honourably.

I agree that there needs to be a change of government, though I doubt Dominic Cummings agrees with me that Boris Johnson should face criminal charges.

But yes, I remember thinking that Javid came out of his resignation (not officially sacking) fairly well.

Laura K has pointed out that SJ was quite involved in the progress of the great social care vs health care issue before Covid hit, and this might be a sign. I think that all the mood music says that we are moving towards a plan, and much as I loathe this shower, I’m still going to hope that they come up with something that makes sense.

God I feel so sorry for his wife. Imagine all those times he’s told her he’s overrun with the pandemic, ‘working late’. The overnight summits accompanied by his mistress. It sounds like they will shack up together eventually. It did all look very lovey dovey didn’t it? I wish more was being made of the corruption though. Paying her, awarding contacts to her bother. That’s the worst of it in my view. He’s completely misused his position.

Dread to think. A ' sex tape ' of that lot doesn't bear thinking about really. The footage of Gina and Matt ( Gnat) was bad enough and they were fully dressed !!

The person who leaked the footage may not be a civil servant but even contractors of government are bound by the officials secret act.
You can go to jail for misconduct in public office.
My point is, the person who leaked it to the sun newspaper should be in trouble, technically.
