I need to watch something and cry!

I’ve been dumped by my boyfriend (who’s also a colleague) and am gutted, but also have to go into work tomorrow where everyone will be talking about it.

What can I watch so I can get some of this out?!

I’ve watched the friends reunion this afternoon which has helped slightly, but I need to up the ante now! Any suggestions?

I’ve put Beaches on as I’ve seen it lots so it will make me cry - then will go for a harder hitting film after Ds is in bed!

Thank you all so much for the suggestions - keep them coming as I may need more given how this last week has played out so far Sad

@FionnulaTheCooler

Mamma Mia's "slipping through my fingers" scene always does it for me.
God yes! And winner takes it all!

Cinema Paradiso except it’s so bad for me now that I start sobbing as soon as the music comes on within the first couple of minutes and don’t stop until about an hour after the film has finished. 😂

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 13/06/2021 17:39

I cried at clips from The Impossible. Haven't seen the whole film yet, the short clips did enough!

Sawyersfishbiscuits · 13/06/2021 17:41

Just binge watch every season of Call the Midwife- uplifting and tearful. I can't hear whatshername Redgrave's voice without tearing up now!

FruityPolos · 13/06/2021 17:41

Odd Thomas makes me sob. It's on Amazon Prime at the moment. I'd read the book before seeing the film so I knew what was going to happen but I still cried loads when I saw it.

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/06/2021 17:55

FruityPolos
I'll check that out.
I mainly watch films and I find it difficult to get recommendations as everyone just starts with the box sets.

Another vote for Cinema Paradiso.

OnlyToWin · 13/06/2021 18:07

Pursuit of Happyness (their spelling not mine).
Plus you also get the bonus of Will Smith.

Hope you feel better soon.
