Flags out for Euros 2020 ?

Anyone decorated houses/gardens with flags?

I’ve got bunting in the garden for today’s barbecue. Uncovered a huge flag, didn’t know we had it!

Live in a huge new building estate and nobody has flags up at all here. Feel quite patriotic this year after this bloody pandemic!

Anyone else got flags up or opinions on not having them up?
@TheDevils because I'm thankful I don't live in an area where people hang these monstrosities from their windows etc.

I mean, come on. It's faux naivety to pretend that nice, normal people dress up their houses with England flags. We all know the type of households who do it.
Please explain what type of households do this.....

I mean we have bunting and England flag outside our house and we live in a very lovely little village, I'm a university academic and DH is a pro vice chancellor at another university. Does that fit in with your stereotype?

Lots of our neighbours have done the same and they are a mix of professions.

@TheDevils amazing how all the flag bearers on this thread are university dons Grin

I’m looking to order bunting: English and Scottish as we are a mixed house 😃

I’m enjoying the football and am going TK throw myself into it.

WouldBeGood · 13/06/2021 21:13

To… not TK 🙄

Frazzled2207 · 13/06/2021 21:16

I also think it’s quite tacky and can be racist (not insinuating that everyone who flies them is racist but some racist people I know do fly them).

Am enjoying the football though.

It's amazing how people make huge assumptions about people who choose to support England by displaying flags...... says more about them tbh.

If you don’t believe people are telling the truth just have the guts to say it. You might not be able to believe it but educated, liberal , non racist people can actually enjoy joining in the spirit of the Euros by putting a few flags out to support England - just as Scottish and Welsh people on this thread are doing - it’s a pretty bleak time and I hope everyone who wants to gets behind their team or just have a bit of fun can do so without being labelled common as muck or any of the other charming descriptions on this thread

I’m a lawyer who likes a bit of fun football supporting 😃

StephieSlade · 13/06/2021 21:51

I'm not that bothered about football, or the flags being up, altthough the flags sprouting up everywhere (including being attached to cars) can be a nightmare when I'm riding especially when it's windy - horses don't like strange, flappy oobjects 😱😱😱!

StacysMomMandyJessiesEx · 13/06/2021 22:04

We’re the flags for VE Day, queens jubilee etc all as common as muck too?
