I'm on my own tonight. DH away. DD with her nan.

I've read some scary threads On here and ended up on a google tangent about black eyed children.

I will be honest, I am shitting myself now thinking that because I am thinking about them they will come.

I'm 41 ffs. Can I have some funny stuff to take my mind away from this please.

This is not like me. I'm usually not like this.

I realise I am being ridiculous but now that it's getting dark it's actually playing on my mind.

Please don't google black eyed children if you are a dickhead like I am when supposed to be enjoying a night on my own

Yes @nancybotwinbloom I definitely have.

It was quite scary, if I’m honest.

@nancybotwinbloom you know that black eyed children are not real. So stop worrying. I’m the biggest feartie, and I googled them and they are clearly not real

Lemonwoe · 10/06/2021 17:41

Chickity China, the black eyed chicken. Have a google and your brain starts clicking.

Well real or not. I've been on date night tonight (not arsed if mumsnet hates that term) but I have for the first time in 18 months.

Had a blast drinking cocktails and I feel brave as fuck.

@Ninkanink please tell us.

So in two weeks I can create the same thread or message this one Grin

If you think Black Eyed Children are scary OP, FFS stay away from the ghost stores of M. R. James!

nancybotwinbloom · 10/06/2021 23:49

If they knocked tonight I think they would just go.

My DH is here. I'm a bit drunk. They would probably mark me off as one not to visit I'd be getting them in to dance to smooth fm.

I had to get my husband to read the Savernake Forest thread to see if I'd be able to take it. We decided it was best I didn't read it 😂 I won't be googling the black eyed children even though I don't doubt it's utter nonsense, there's just something about scary things (even clearly ridiculous scary things) that makes me feels jumpy and frightened. Very embarrassing!

nancybotwinbloom · 11/06/2021 00:32

@Ninkanink we are all waiting to hear your story. No pressure GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

@Kpo58 lucky you, mine are really noisy. I sometimes feel like throwing a shoe at them.

Hope all good OP Smile
