I passed one in Edinburgh today, called Fair-A-Far Shot, which is quite unusual.

I also know of a small hamlet, not street, called Willie Stack’s Clump, which just makes me smile.

I love the signs on the A1 for "Honeypot lane Industrial Estate". Seems such a contradiction.

Rest and be Thankful
Pratts Bottom
Warning Tongue Lane

Many moons ago I worked in a shipping office and one of our customers had their business in honeypot Lane industrial estate. I always thought it would be set in a pretty location with the units all having thatched roofs and roses round the door. Wasn't quite as I imagine as I drive past it 30 years later on my way to Peterborough

The is a road in my mum's village called Bottom Club. We found it hilarious as children!

Geordieoldgirl · 08/06/2021 20:00

There’s a place I think near Durham called Pity Me.

YourCakesAreShit · 08/06/2021 20:01

Willow Wong, in the village my grandparents lived in.

Jingle Pot rd. Van island BC

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 08/06/2021 20:09

I used to live on Strawberry Bank Parade.

Someone changed the sign to Strawberry Wank Parade and it was genuinely the funniest thing ever for a very long time.

Shewholovedthethebanhills · 08/06/2021 20:13

I passed a road called White Knobs Way near a motorway junction years ago. Never forgot it, although I can't remember the town.

emeraldislegirl · 08/06/2021 20:14

Titty Ho is near where I grew up.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/06/2021 20:14

I think my least favourite weird name is Golgotha Rd in Lancaster. I believe there was once a small village of that name, presumably subsumed into the town.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 08/06/2021 20:15

The Gutter, The Flats, Bumblehole Lane and Poverty, all in Worcestershire.

Poverty is in one of the most affluent districts of the town and isn't Poverty Road, Poverty Street or anything - just Poverty.

The Flats doesn't have any flats on it. I expect it must be very tedious for the people who live there, every single time they give their address as No X, The Flats and are then asked which actual road their supposed block of flats is in. They give their proper, legitimate address, but the person taking it probably thinks they're very simple and/or not well-travelled; like a 4yo child thinking their address is 'My house'!

Bumblehole Lane frequently has its 4th, 5th & 6th letters painted out, just like the last letter of Dogpool Lane in Birmingham!

Magpiecomplex · 08/06/2021 20:15

Wincanton has a selection of Terry Pratchett themed roads, including Treacle Mine Road.

Medianoche · 08/06/2021 20:17

I love The Ocean At The End Of The Lane in Southsea (named in tribute to the Neil Gaiman book).

Xigris · 08/06/2021 20:17

Brom Hedge near Eltham, SE London

You need this map OP, hours of fun!

WhipperSnapperSteve · 08/06/2021 20:18

Slag Rise

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 08/06/2021 20:18

I gather that Penny Hill Lane in rural Lincolnshire more often than not has the P changed to a B.

ZittiEBuoni · 08/06/2021 20:19

I used to live in The Hoe. Nearby streets were called Delta Gain and Gibbs Couch Confused.

HazelBite · 08/06/2021 20:21

Lullington Garth (what does Garth mean?) Finchley
Reform Row - Tottenham

Frogsonglue · 08/06/2021 20:21

Stippy Stappy in St Agnes, Cornwall. It's very steep and has the most beautiful cottages on it.

WhipperSnapperSteve · 08/06/2021 20:22

Butt Lane too
