What’s the oddest street name you know?

I passed one in Edinburgh today, called Fair-A-Far Shot, which is quite unusual.

I also know of a small hamlet, not street, called Willie Stack’s Clump, which just makes me smile.

@Ormally

Hillie Bunnies (wtf?!) Barnaby Rudge Legge Street (huge building on it with numerical sign: One Legge Street) Scurvy Hall Lane Ting Tang Lane

(4 Essex, one Oxon)

OMG Hillie Bunnies. That brings back memories. Many years ago I used to work for the local council and we always referred to it as Hillie Billies. One of my jobs was to print the new rent cards every year. Each one manually printed, long before word processors or PCs. One year it was only after I had printed them all that I realised I had put Hillie Billies on them all. I was not popular as they all had to be binned. Never made the same mistake again though.
Ormally · 09/06/2021 13:52

Cool!
I have a colleague who had to bin a load of letters (maybe even letterheads, can't remember) for Leeds Cunty Council.
(Disclaimer, location totally changed to protect identity!)

I was once on a bus where someone had changed the lettering of EMERGENCY EXIT to VIRGIN EXIT.

BikeRunSki · 10/06/2021 12:01

I quite often drive along “Johnny Moor Long Lane” and “Flashey Carr Lane”.

BikeRunSki · 10/06/2021 12:30

I once lived in a hamlet/village that had no street names. Our address was just “18 Peasholme*”.

There is a house in Tickhill, S Yorks, right on the Lincolnshire border, whose address is “1 Yorkshire”.

*not actually the name of the village.

BettyUnderswoob · 10/06/2021 12:39

There was a Back Ends where I used to live.

The Land of Green Ginger in Hull has already been mentioned, but I'll just also say that it has on it an apartment building called 'Second Star on the Right and Straight on 'til Morning'.

Clawdy · 10/06/2021 13:33

Cockle Dick's Lane, in Southport.
