If you are 5'7, what shoe size are you?

Always felt like my size 6s are quite large compared to my height. I have to wear insoles which takes up room so end up taking a 6.5 or 7, which seems even larger. I remember starting secondary school at 4'11 and a giant size 5! Anyone else with disproportionately large feet? My friend is the same height as me and she takes a 5 so mine seem rather big.

Yes, definitely easier now than it was even 4/5 years ago when her feet first reached that size! Agree asos can be good, but you do need to watch as sometimes they list branded size 42s as a 9... We have family in the US, and it's always nice to find more choice over there. (Hmmpity about the global pandemic and now twice postponed trip. Ah well. Next year..)

I'm 1.65m and size 9 in slingbacks. Easier as I've got older.

I don't think size 6 is large for someone of 5 ft 7 in! I'm 5 ft 5 in and a size 6!

I’m 5ft 3 and I’m a shoe size 8. I have no idea where I got large feet from it’s not my parents either.

OlivesTree · 20/05/2021 18:27

5’7.5” size 6.5. It’s a pain. Half sizes are difficult to get. Size 6 is too short but the 7s seem to go up hugely in width. Why is it assumed that length means width?!

fairydustandsparkle · 20/05/2021 18:36

I’m 5’4/5’5 ish and size 3.5. My friend is 5’11 and a size 5! I always thought that was fairly common but reading these replies it seems not. I can buy kids shoes though so I’m not complaining Grin

6

OlivesTree I know it is a pain. I normally have to size up to accommodate my orthotic insoles and 6.5 seems to be rare. I have no clue why retailers seem to assume that everyone with a size 7 or above has feet as wide as boats. I normally solve the problem by wearing extra socks if that might help you as well.

Also, sorry to the people who have been offended by this thread. I sincerely did not mean to be rude, I was just wondering if mine are a normal size or not since people have commented they look large.

I am 5 ft 7 and I have size 5... which seems small for my height and might explain why I have shit balance Grin
