If you are 5'7, what shoe size are you?

Always felt like my size 6s are quite large compared to my height. I have to wear insoles which takes up room so end up taking a 6.5 or 7, which seems even larger. I remember starting secondary school at 4'11 and a giant size 5! Anyone else with disproportionately large feet? My friend is the same height as me and she takes a 5 so mine seem rather big.

I'm 5'7" / 5'8" ish. I used to be a size 6, but when I was pregnant I went up a size and have never gone back down!

My sis is a half inch taller and a size smaller - not fair!

Gilead · 19/05/2021 20:24

5’6” take a nine.
Dd is 5’8” and takes a 4.5

bunnytheegghunter · 19/05/2021 20:32

5ft 7 and size 7- I don't mind their size, but they are wide too which makes them less than dainty! EnvySad

CharlotteRose90 · 19/05/2021 20:38

5’7 and size 5/6 in shoes depending on the shop. Most of the time it’s a 5.

userxx · 19/05/2021 20:45

Size 7. I think I need wide fit these days. My feet have got fatter or shoes have got thinner, can't work out which one it is.

AhNowTed · 19/05/2021 20:46

7 and a wide fit.

Campervan69 · 19/05/2021 20:56

I'm 5 foot 7 and a large 8. So a 42 rather than a 41.

3CCC · 19/05/2021 20:57

I'm 5ft6 and depending on the shoe and make I'm a size 6 or 7. Size 6.5 is the holy grail

MaryThorne · 19/05/2021 21:07

8, 9 in running shoes

BonesJones · 19/05/2021 21:16

Five seven and size seven feet. I don't help myself really because I like big clompy boots!

HAB86 · 19/05/2021 21:23

5ft 7.5 and size 8 (used to be 7 before kids)
My sister is the same height and a size 6.

I used to work in a show shop and size 6 is very average.

Athenajm80 · 19/05/2021 21:40

@DialsMavis

5ft 7.5 and size 8 feet, quite wide too Hmm
Same here, although a size 9 in some places. I find if I go for a 42 then the shoes fit, but for some bizarre reason a 42 can be an 8 or a 9 depending on the shop.

I don't understand how shoe size conversions are not the same in all places. Clothes having varying versions of sizes is bad enough

dancinfeet · 20/05/2021 07:13

Five foot 8 and size 5. My DDs are both similar height and are size 7.

Garman · 20/05/2021 07:25

I'm 5ft 7.5 and take a 7/7.5. Size 6 isn't large at all, especially for your height?

HarrietHairbrush · 20/05/2021 08:38

7.5
I usually look for a 41 which tends to be more accurate

goodsapphic · 20/05/2021 09:11

Garman it just feels large since most people I know wear size 4 or 5, even some of the taller ones.

9 or 10 depending on whether it's shoes/boots or trainers. I've always had big feet, I remember being in my final year at prep school and my mother despairing as she couldn't find suitable plimsoles in my size 5 Grin. It comes in handy though, as I can wear my DH's trainers to nip out to the garden etc if needed.

DistrictCommissioner · 20/05/2021 09:37

5.7 and a size 6-7 depending on the shop. Think that’s pretty normal.

Nel246 · 20/05/2021 09:38

I'm 5ft 8, a size 8 and I hate shoe shopping!
I've bought men's size 8 trainers before as they were a better fit.
