I feel quite sick now, the sticky toffee pudding was a step too far

Just had a chocolate dessert, had to rest and make room for it.

My 12 year old wanted to make diner (obviously lost interest half way through). We had; Roast Chicken and bacon rolls, quorn fillets for me, sage and onion stuffing, yorkies, mashed potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli and green beans with chocolate brownie and ice cream after.

Hairy bikers old fashioned chicken stew. So tasty and never comes out the same way twice but each time fabulous and full of goodness.

I am so jealous of all the roasts - we can make roasts here but the potatoes where we are just don't make decent roasties (or chips, or mash 😭😭😭) and there isn't much in the way of decent roasting joints here either other than chicken.
Saying that, today we are having beef and Guinness casserole with mash, even though the mash won't be as good as it would in the UK. And DS and I made a Nigella chocolate cake too.

We had baked salmon with jersey potatoes and salad. Hot chocolate sponge (not homemade) for pudding. It was lovely!

Chicken chasseur, new potatoes, peas and tender stem broccoli, good excuse to open a bottle of wine...
