Accused of posting on someone's LinkedIn...

I work in a public sector organisation and have been called in by my line manager to say that I have posted something offensive on someone's LinkedIn page and of causing offensive comments on twitter.

I have a LinkedIn account but don't use it much, I do remember following and unfollowing this person a few months ago but no recollection of posting on their page. Is there a way I can check whether I commented without looking at their profile? I know they can see if I have looked at them and I don't want them to make any more allegations about me.

It's almost 9 weeks now @IWentAwayIStayedAway, have a plan with my union rep to submit my formal complaint once he's double the timeline, so that's 3 weeks away.

I agree @FijiCavanaugh and @MadeForThis, if I was as guilty as he made out in my interview, it would have been done by now. As I haven't done anything, (unless I literally stepped out of my own body to shitpost on a platform I rarely use and don't understand!) he can't find anything but for him to back down would be too embarrassing.

It really does sound as if he is too embarrassed to admit hes wrong and so wont back down. The whole thing sounds ridiculous, I cant believe how long it is dragging on for. One thing to keep in the back of your mind OP, you will come through this a stronger person. Keep fighting, you can do this

Oh my word OP. Keep going and keep being strong. I can only imagine the stress it's causing you but your LM is so out of line with this.

This is ridiculous, I'm so sorry you've been put through all of this OP. You are totally right to lodge a complaint about this, it seems like harassment!

I'm doing ok tbh, occupational health referred me for counselling, this was kind of the kick I needed to address some long term anxiety so I guess that's a silver lining.

Also, writing the complaint has been interesting as he's actually been bullying me in various forms for about a year now so it's given me the opportunity to articulate that and how it's affected me. Which is both cathartic and is going to make him look absolutely awful when this is investigated.

I'm going to submit it on the 12 week date and point out that I'm submitting it on that date as that is twice the timeline he had for a full investigation... just for maximum impact!

Oh , and he gets a new boss that week so I want to make sure his first impression is appropriate

He said "tweeted on the LinkedIn website" I kept trying to get him to clarify and in the end he got frustrated with himself and said "I'll call it social media platform and then you can't have anything against me if I have it wrong

😳 Anything against him?!?!! This just all sounds really weird OP (if not dodgy) I’m hoping this is resolved quickly for you. You e had some great advice on here.

So, I'm beginning the offensive tomorrow with my union rep... I have a number of suspicions that he's not recording this properly so no one has any oversight of his ridiculousness.
Will report back! Also he emailed me directly on Friday which:

1. He has been asked not to.
2. He has a habit of doing which unsettles me over the weekend. So that's going in the complaint.

So has he ever expanded on what the comment on social media was?
