I’ve noticed over the last couple of weeks that a uni mate is posting increasing amounts of total bollocks on Facebook. As expected a couple of days ago I got a message “Hey Hun, how are you babe? I can’t believe it’s been so long since I’ve seen you! I’d love to meet for a chat when restrictions are eased - I’ve got some really exciting news to share with you! ❤️❤️🌸🌈.”

I’m not replying as I don’t want to end up being guilted into buying a load of diet shakes or shitty scented candles or whatever. I can’t work out what she’s selling though. It looks like she’s selling meditation but I didn’t know you could buy that. Books on meditation, maybe?

I’ve (hopefully) attached some of her posts with photos removed. Does anyone know what MLM this is? It’s not important, it’s just irritating me that I don’t know.

I’ve looked at her mates page who recruited and I’m still none the wiser. Her mate has posted ‘if life gives you hips, make hip scarves’ posted over a photo of her hugging an old lady and ‘when men get together their (sic) an army, when women get together their a tribe’ posted over a photo of her face with camouflage paint on.

Is it some clever marketing trick to make you think it’s drugs or something fun when it’s actually just shitter tea or Zoflora?

Some of us already have an organic orchard a pair of apple trees in the garden hah.

I took dd to a kids group for meditation and stuff because she enjoyed it plus its something they already do in school. You don't need an MLM for it.

I think she wants to teach you to recruit and then teach others how to recruit and then teach others to recruit and then teach others to... erm...

One of the mums in DD1’s class is flogging Usborne books and has messaged me multiple times about it. I posted a FB status basically tearing apart MLMs (didn’t mention Usborne) but she got the message and commented on my thread. She doesn’t try to flog to me anymore!

I also had someone try to recruit me on LinkedIn for Utility Warehouse. Knew it was an MLM from the first message but let him tell me all about it before saying hell no!

Utility Warehouse isn't a MLM. I can see why you might think it was. I've been with them for 20yrs, wouldn't touch another Utility Company. They score consistently high in WHICH reports, customer service is brilliant - having tried to sort out utilties for my parents and inLaws, with different companies (curse you Scottish Power), I really appreciate how straightforward UW is. They don't advertise much but use network marketing. You don't have to go through a "partner" to become a customer. The more service you have with them the bigger the discount you get.

In my area there's an old chap who turns up at fetes etc with his UW stand and tries to get customers - pretty sure it's just a hobby for him!

Could it be Neal's Yard? I know someone doing wellbeing stuff and selling their products as part of it.

I saw one the other day on a local group she was ‘giving away’ what looked like tonsil stones but was kefir grains and then she has a link to her pages where she’s selling juice plus 🤦‍♀️

Not to mention that pears and apples won't even be in season until August - November, so I'm not sure where she thinks she is picking them from now? :s
I actually have my own organic apple and pear orchard. I don't find picking them to be terribly meditative. In fact its the opposite really as its frustrating trying to find one before the bloody birds get it or its fallen off and too bruised

Have a look through her posts where either she has tagged people in or she has a lot of “bossbabes” commenting to find her uplink and then have a look at their posts/photos. One of the em normally reveals some shite oils or juice plus nonsense
