To irrationally HATE this word...

Delicious. I fucking hate it man, it irritates the life out of me. I could literally put my fist through a brick wall when people say it, especially if they emphasise on the L. Awful, ugly word that should be banned from the planet forever.

Any words out there that make anyone rage? I believe moist is quite unpopular. But nothing tops the D word for me! :-)

Date night (cringe)

Movie (unless said by an American) it's a FILM.

IJustLovePirates · 03/04/2021 21:56

People who refer to their baby as ‘bub’

Makes me shudder

CallMeCleo · 03/04/2021 21:58

Vulva.

lborgia · 03/04/2021 22:04

@IJustLovePirates - Bub is an Australian term, makes my hackles rise...

Luscious. Makes me want to slam that person's head into a wall. Not a thought I've ever had in any other situation.

Most of the others mentioned tbh. I'm not an easy person.

idontlikealdi · 03/04/2021 22:07

MIL calls her husband "His nibs" I can't bear it, I want to scream when she says it, why?!

hamstersarse · 03/04/2021 22:14

When someone says ‘peeps’ or worse writes it in an email, I want to stab

lborgia · 03/04/2021 22:18

Just been on another thread which reminds me, some words which are fine everyday words, but when used in marketing-copy world.

Pant - "she'd look great in a slim fit pant" Pants, or trousers! Not a pant!

Taken from other thread - "that". " why not try pimms - that great summer drink"

Think - "this season we'll be wearing blue eyeshadow. Think aqua, cornflower, and sky blue"

Argh.... I have to stop now, I'm going to burst with rage.

henryhooversnose · 03/04/2021 22:20

Stunning.

Grossly over-used and I picture people falling over with rictus grins like they've been tasered when they see a perfectly dull pine table or yet another selfie.
