Wtf is Mornington Crescent?

I've just read the whole thread. I have no idea what's going on. I didn't want to post on there as they seem to be in some sort of flow and would probably ignore me anyway.

@LunaHeather I think to be honest the best way to learn the rules is just to start playing! Most of the more seasoned players are very happy to have newcomers and will help you by explaining if you cant make a certain move and why. You will pick it up as you go along gradually.

It is a made up game, just a bit of nonsense
There are no rules as such because the game doesn't actually exist.

The only "rule" is you can't repeat station names. I'm almost sure that's not necessarily true.
There are always ways round it, but it makes it easier if you haven’t played your Joker.

It can get very serious and complicated especially if you are playing by Goldhawk Road, or Camden Town rules!

There's probably a good definition of it in The Uxbridge English Dictionary, or you could try asking Lionel Blair for a demo of the rules, if he's not too worn out after finishing off An Officer and a Gentleman.

I see that’s the 2015 edition you’ve got there.

Of course you know that following a sustained campaign in 2019 by the Rev Humphrey Trellis of North Wales, his mother and their parish Mornington Crescent club, all ecclesiastical rules are suspended during Christian festivals. I believe it was something to with Diocesan Bishops being so busy issuing dispensations for rule 14.1.1 that they had no time left for other duties.
